Hello everyone!
A maintenance update. No gameplay changes in this one.
A MUCH SMALLER DOWNLOAD
Portalborn's install has been carrying a large amount of material it never actually used — development leftovers, superseded files, and art that belongs to the Steam store page rather than the game itself.
All of it is gone. The install is roughly 235 MB smaller, and future updates should be smaller and faster to download too.
Nothing about the game itself has changed. Same content, same saves, same everything — there's simply far less sitting on your drive that was never doing anything.
ON THE TESTING
Because this touched what actually ships rather than how the game plays, I treated it as a high-risk maintenance change.
Every automated test was run against the packaged build before and after, and compared test-by-test rather than simply by overall score.
Beyond that: an existing save was loaded, played, saved, quit, relaunched, and reloaded; the Portal Workshop and World Builder were opened and used; a full run was played in Chinese; and three portals — Whispering Woods, Dread Catacombs, and Celestial Rift — were entered, explored, fought through, and cleared, including the zone-clear bonus and the return trip.
No differences found.
If anything does look wrong after this update, please tell me — this is exactly the kind of change where a report matters more than usual.
Thank you all, as always.
