Complete Rework of the Tutorial Scenario

The tutorial scenario was the very first scenario I created for the game. Over time, it became increasingly clear that, despite previous attempts to improve it, the original version simply wasn't good enough.

In an earlier update, I reduced the amount of tutorial text by about 70% without losing any important information, which noticeably improved the learning experience.

However, that still didn't solve the main problem.

An ideal tutorial should follow this pattern:

Information → Reinforcement → Reinforcement → Reinforcement

My old tutorial looked more like this:

Information → Information → Reinforcement

I've completely redesigned the tutorial to reduce the amount of text while giving players many more opportunities to reinforce what they've learned. The new structure is:

Information → Reinforcement → Reinforcement

I also reduced the amount of text even further.

Before / After:

I hope the result feels much better.

The rework took longer than I expected because I had to manually verify every single step of the tutorial—checking exactly when each UI element and game object appears or disappears, and making sure every interaction behaves correctly.

What's Next?

Improve the Raid mode (without a complete overhaul).

Expand the roster of cards and Headquarters.

At the same time, I'm continuing to hand-draw the game's main artwork.

In-game event25 Aug 2026Complete Visual OverhaulI really liked the previous visual style of the game, and at the time I spent a huge amount of time refining it until I was satisfied with the result. But reality has its own rules. Almost every publisher I spoke with told me the same thing: the visuals had to be reworked because they clearly showed the use of AI-generated artwork. As I later came to realize, the publishers were right — these d…In-game event2 Aug 2026Major Rework of the PvE "Raid" ModeThe core idea behind these changes is to make every Raid feel unique while reducing the impact of randomness. Instead, success should depend much more on the player's decisions and strategy. A great example of this design philosophy is the roguelike deckbuilder Slay the Spire . The first version of the revamped Raid mode focused on completely redesigning the mode itself. This update builds on t…In-game event12 Jul 2026Raid PvE Mode Completely ReworkedThe main goal of this overhaul was to make Raid far more replayable across all HQ ranks. Before: After: What's Changed · Increased the overall scale of the mode. · Completely redesigned map navigation by introducing a road network. · Removed the linear progression. Every new Raid now features a unique combination of event nodes on each map level. · Added many new event nodes. The mode currently…
