This update brings multi-select and nested folders to the Plugins and Themes library, cuts memory use across extra windows with a shared app engine, and adds EPUB reading and 3D model viewing to the File Viewer, plus Windows Integration, media controls, and other polish.

New: Plugins and Themes library

You can select multiple installed or Workshop items with checkboxes, Ctrl/Shift-click, and drag-select. Bulk Enable, Disable, Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Favourite, and Delete run from the selection bar or the context menu.

Organise items into nested folders. Open a folder with a double-click, and drag items or folders to move them. Move to folder is also available from the selection bar or context menu, with nested folders shown as paths like Folder > Subfolder.

Context menus show Subscribe or Unsubscribe (and Favourite or Unfavorite) based on each item’s state. Mixed selections show both as separate actions.

New: Multi-window performance

Extra windows now share one app engine instead of each running their own, so every additional window uses far less memory. When another window is already open, new windows open fully loaded with no boot screen.

Startup is faster: SeizeControl loads less up front and fetches what it needs in one step. Windows sitting hidden in the background automatically free up caches and reload them when you come back. The Unload windows tray option now defaults to off, so windows stay ready to reopen instantly from the tray. If the interface ever crashes, all windows restore themselves with your session intact.

New: EPUB in File Viewer

DRM-free .epub files open in File Viewer with page turn, table of contents, and reading position restore. Reading settings (Aa) cover font size, font, theme (including sepia), line spacing, margins, and paginated or continuous scroll, with cloud sync and reset to defaults (same pattern as the audio visualizer options).

The footer shows chapter, book-wide progress percent, and page X of Y in paginated mode. In-book search uses Ctrl+F; local bookmarks use Ctrl+B. Disk EPUBs get cover thumbnails in the grid, details pane, and gallery.

New: 3D models in File Viewer

FBX, glTF/GLB, OBJ, and STL files open in File Viewer with orbit controls and a reset-view button. Those formats also get grid, details, and gallery thumbnails.

Changes

  • Folder context menus for pin and folder icon now show only the action that applies: Add to Pinned or Remove from Pinned, and Set folder icon or Remove folder icon.

  • More actions now update the UI optimistically so the interface responds immediately, then settles in the background. For example, deleting, enabling, disabling, or unsubscribing plugins and themes, and file deletes, renames, and new files or folders. If the action fails, the change is rolled back, the row shakes, and a message explains why.

  • New subtle animations across the app for dialogs, menus, toasts, search, tabs, drawers, and sidebar sections. Buttons share consistent hover and press feedback; new tabs and library items fade in. All animations respect the Reduce animations setting, which now also applies from the very first frame at startup.

  • App Themes: default Choose Icon and library folder tiles are now pink, and the More product cards use the same blue and pink accents.

  • Settings are reorganised into clearer groups: Steam options moved out of System tray, Windows Integration now includes open-in-new-window, File Viewer is split into Playback, Volume, and Slideshow, and Appearance and Advanced gained section headers.

  • When SeizeControl is set as the default, Win+E can now open SeizeControl. Restore Windows Explorer turns that off again. Win+E opens a new window when SeizeControl is already running. Turn off Open in new window in Windows Integration if you prefer it to bring the existing window forward instead (it still opens a new window if SeizeControl is already in front).

  • Right-clicking a thumbnail in the File Viewer gallery now offers file actions as well as the existing queue options: copy, copy path, reveal in Explorer, open, open with, rename, delete, and properties. Rename and delete apply to the thumbnail you right-clicked, not only the file currently on screen.

  • The video player control bar now includes buttons to skip 10 seconds backward or forward. A screenshot button opens a menu to copy the current frame to the clipboard or save it as a PNG (Save as…). Nothing is saved until you choose.

  • Rich File Search previews now use the same custom video and audio players as the rest of the app. Audio in search results does not show the visualizer however.
