Added customizable lighting for each aquarium, with six color settings, ten light layouts, and controls for saturation, strength, and spread. Each tank's setup is previewed live and saved separately, while lighting starts switched off on new tanks.
Aquarium lighting now affects the walls, floor, fish, decorations, eggs, and food while leaving the interface unaffected, with softer animated beams and smooth transitions between tanks.
Fish Behaviour / Feeding
Reworked feeding so hungry fish notice and pursue actual food instead of following the feeding cursor.
Fish now react to food based on hunger, speed, personality, distance, and swimming zone. Bottom feeders prefer settled food, while faster fish may opportunistically dive for it.
Fish can now be thrown by releasing them after a fast drag, carrying momentum through the water and bouncing off the tank walls before returning to normal swimming.
Adjusted fish scale by tank size. Fish retain their previous size in small tanks and appear progressively smaller in larger tanks, including aquarium previews.
Tank Care / Visuals
Improved sponge cleaning so fast strokes no longer leave thin missed strips. Remaining dirt now briefly highlights after the sponge is idle, and assisted completion waits for a short pause before finishing the tank.
Auto Cleaners now continue cleaning while the player visits another tank or screen, with progress reflected in aquarium previews. Their bubbles also remain inside the aquarium and fade out naturally.
Tank names from sold tanks can now be used again.
Breeding / Fish Care
Fixed valid opposite-sex breeding pairs being shown as incompatible. Fish variants within the same breeding family can now pair correctly, without allowing unrelated species from the same Shop category to crossbreed.
Updated fertility genetics so the listed species breeding time is now the normal maximum, while stronger fertility can shorten the wait by up to 50%.
Fish details now show current age alongside the fish's individual inherited lifespan, while Fish Overview shows the full lifespan range for each species.
End Day fish-care alerts now account for active Auto Feeders and no longer flag unavoidable old-age deaths. The day summary also shows the cause when a fish dies.
Shop / Customers
Reworked customer advice outcomes so knowledge level affects whether incorrect advice is recognized immediately. Customers who trust bad advice may still purchase a fish, but the mistake now causes a delayed review and a possible complaint visit the next day.
Correct advice is now more likely to lead to a purchase, while still allowing some customers to browse without buying.
Customer schedules are now generated from adult, unlocked fish in displayed Shop tanks. Traffic scales with sellable stock, multiple customers can request the same species, and off-shelf fish no longer create impossible requests.
Group orders are now more common when enough fish are available, while reserving stock for later customers. Waiting customers also reduce their order if fish are locked before selection.
Improved customer fish matching so Excellent, Good, and Bad ratings use actual species families instead of relying on name order.
Sold fish now fade out of Shop aquarium previews without making the remaining fish jump or freeze.
World Events
The first two World Events in a new game are now guaranteed to be positive.
Economy / Rarity
Fixed purchased fish costs so the stored and displayed "Bought For" value matches the actual amount paid after World Events, Wholesale Contacts, or Trade Hub negotiations.
Standardized rarity handling across fish, eggs, Marketing, and World Events to Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.
Navigation / Interface
Added rebindable directional navigation between Shop, Tanks Overview, aquariums, and Internet tabs. Left and Right cycle tanks, Up opens the Internet or advances its tabs, and Down moves between the Shop and Tanks Overview.
Reworked tank and screen transitions for smoother navigation, preventing rapid inputs from causing flicker, hitches, or disabled top-bar controls.
Standardized all fish species names and plural forms across the Fish Store, Fish Overview, Licenses, customer dialogue, fish details, and World Events.
Tanks Overview
Tanks can now be reordered in the overview.
Tank cards show an egg icon when the tank has eggs.
Tank cards show a pregnant icon when the tank has pregnant fish.
Summary Screen
The End Day summary screen was redesigned to show all your key stats in one panel.
Settings / Accessibility
Expanded the pause-menu Settings screen with the full Audio, Display, Gameplay, Controls, and Accessibility sections, matching the main Settings screen.
The Controls tab now automatically lists rebindable actions instead of relying on a hardcoded list.
Added persistent key rebinding for gameplay and directional navigation, with a new rebind popup and automatic swapping when two actions use the same input.
Added Deuteranopia, Protanopia, and Tritanopia color-blind filters.
Added a Reduced Motion option for interface and tank effects.
Fixed the Autosave toggle so it now works everywhere it should.
Display settings, including the FPS cap and VSync, now apply correctly on launch and persist between launches.
Restyled dropdowns to better match the rest of the game's interface.
Sound
General sound effects are now louder relative to the music.
Added sound effects for fish eating.
Tapping the glass in locked tank mode now plays a stress tap sound.
The sponge cleaning sound now cycles through its variations in order instead of skipping.
Tooltips
Added tooltips to stats and labels in the detail panel.
Tutorial
Fixed the tutorial not recognizing Grandpa's Old Tank when it had already been placed before the related objective appeared.
