For the Fatherland: Chronicle of Park Chung-hee · published · build 25167243

Hello, dear players!
For Patch 1.03, I focused as much as possible on improving quality of life, reviewing translations, and overhauling game content.
The changes are as follows:
1. Improved Guidance for Decisions and National Objectives
Disabled buttons now display tooltips explaining why the corresponding action cannot be performed
Improved the readability of descriptions for locked decisions, which were previously too faded to read comfortably
Added a filter to display only currently available decisions, along with indicators for newly available decisions
Decision activation intervals and effects are now displayed separately
Expanded guidance for 41 national objectives with specific actions, completion requirements, and timing information
Clearly distinguished between actions that could easily be confused, such as establishing the Korean Central Intelligence Agency and appointing its director, or holding a planning meeting and finalizing a plan
2. Improved Explanations for Economic Projects and Budgets
Project lists now prioritize weekly progress, estimated remaining time at the current pace, and factors blocking further progress
Detailed calculations have been organized into expandable sections that can be viewed when needed
Expanded explanations of the relationship between budget allocation and project funding
Fixed an issue where previously appointed officials whose appointments had already cost resources could be overwritten when the Supreme Council was established
3. Tutorial Overhaul
Relevant controls are now highlighted while the surrounding screen is darkened
Improved the tutorial flow so players can naturally learn the necessary controls according to the current situation
Clearly separated steps involving opening screens or reading explanations from steps involving actual actions and checking their results
Added a step for reviewing indicators and actual changes after executing a decision
Improved the tutorial so that guidance no longer blocks game progression when no events or operations are currently available
The tutorial now follows the actions chosen by the player rather than forcing specific policies
4. Better Integration Between Search, the Approval Inbox, and Action Results
Decisions and bills can now be reviewed and acted upon directly through Search and the Approval Inbox
Search terms, scroll position, and filters are now preserved when returning from a detailed screen
Added the ability to pin frequently used actions
Added a feature to immediately review actual numerical changes after performing an action
Fixed missing reports and hidden category tabs in the Approval Inbox
Connected the Urgent, Approval, and Routine categories with recent decision records
5. Major Quality-of-Life Improvements
Improved previously inconvenient UI elements and fixed text overflowing beyond its intended display area
Added various other quality-of-life features and increased the number of save slots
6. Further Corrections to Previously Unreviewed English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese Translations
7. Major Overhaul of Game Content
Added sandbox features
Improved and expanded domestic affairs and diplomacy content
Overhauled the legislative system
Overhauled and added various other features
As I have always mentioned, I sincerely appreciate all the reports and suggestions you leave through reviews and the forums. Since I am developing the game alone, I unfortunately cannot respond individually to every review and post, and I apologize for that and ask for your understanding.
Even when I cannot reply directly, I do read and take all of your feedback into consideration, so please feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions at any time!
I will also continue updating the game in future patches to address quality-of-life issues that could not all be resolved this time, fix bugs, and further improve the overall play experience.
In particular, Patch 1.04 will focus on fully addressing the remaining translation issues, as well as repeatedly reported problems such as line breaks and readability. I will continue listening closely to the feedback you have shared and do my best to make the game more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone to play.
Thank you, as always, for playing and enjoying the game.
Have a nice day!
