Build 0.744 Patch Notes
Build 0.744 focuses on expedition stability, less punishing ordinary bosses and hunts, a more usable Workshop, exact item selection, and major quality-of-life improvements for equipped consumables.
Expeditions and Terrain
- Fixed an expedition-loading failure affecting Korr Deepforge Moons when the renderer temporarily failed to expose the approved wind_scoured_basalt terrain texture.
- Added safer terrain-material recovery that resolves the correct approved textures instead of aborting the expedition.
- Verified terrain rendering across all eight expeditions and all four Pinnacle arenas at High, Medium, and Low texture quality.
- The terrain fix does not substitute unrelated textures or change the appearance, layout, or navigation of any map.
Expedition Boss Balance
- Reduced the basic-attack damage of all 24 ordinary expedition bosses by 20%.
- Reduced their ability, projectile, telegraph, periodic, and signature damage by 25%.
- Ordinary enemies remain unchanged.
- Pinnacle bosses remain unchanged.
- Boss health, armor, phases, attack speed, projectiles, affixes, reinforcements, and rewards remain unchanged.
- Party-size and Expedition Modifier scaling still apply normally.
Hunting
- Substantially reduced the health and per-level health growth of all 16 hunt species.
- Level-appropriate hunting gear can now bring down prey in approximately one to three landed hits instead of hunts taking longer than ordinary fights.
- Hunting behavior remains intact: prey still sprint, tire, recover, become wounded, and become crippled.
- Hunt movement speed, fleeing behavior, and navigation were not weakened to disguise the former health problem.
Corpses and Ground Loot
- Unskinned hunt corpses clear after three active expedition minutes.
- Abandoned ordinary ground loot now clears after ten active expedition minutes, reducing long-session clutter and rendering overhead.
- A character or pet actively pursuing an item grants it a renewable fifteen-second claim grace period.
- Items are not removed while a real pickup attempt is still active.
- Tracked Pinnacle rewards never expire and retain their existing mail-recovery protection.
Workshop Disenchant
- Ordinary Disenchant now works with the exact item clicked or dragged from Shared Inventory or Town Stash.
- Removed the ordinary Disenchant enchantment dropdown.
- Destroying an item now teaches every enchantment carried by that item, not only one selected enchantment.
- Enchantments that are already known do not block the operation.
- Higher rolled tiers still upgrade the corresponding learned enchantment tier.
- Items with matching names, icons, bases, and rarities can no longer be confused because the Workshop tracks the exact item and storage position.
- The destructive preview identifies every enchantment that will be learned or is already recorded.
- Clean Extraction remains separate: it preserves the equipment, consumes a Resonant Shard, and allows the player to choose the single enchantment to remove.
Workshop Presentation
- Reordered the Workshop layout so the current workbench, input slots, preview, and confirmation controls appear before the persistent crafting queue.
- Fixed destructive Workshop controls appearing below the visible area at smaller resolutions.
- Verified all five profession pages at 1280x720, 1280x800, and 1920x1080.
- Fixed copied Skill Books being created below their required minimum item level.
- This prevents higher-level copied books, including Ember Nova, from failing when their Workshop job completes.
- Workshop costs, durations, queue capacity, output quantities, and proficiency rewards remain unchanged.
Enchanting
- Enchant no longer uses an ambiguous equipment dropdown or silently selects equipment.
- Click an eligible item in Shared Inventory or Town Stash, or drag that exact item into the Enchant target.
- The target now displays the selected item, storage source, and slot number.
- Clicking the filled target clears it.
- Pets, runes, books, Unique equipment, consumables, and non-equipment items are rejected as Enchant targets.
- Moving, replacing, or changing the selected item invalidates the preview before materials or random rolls are consumed.
- Affix and tier selection still determine the enchantment being applied; they no longer determine which equipment item receives it.
Equipped Consumables
- All equipped consumable and provision stacks can now hold up to 99 items:
- Potions
- Revive Kits
- Lockpicks
- Food
- Drinks
- Matching items can be added directly to an equipped stack without first unequipping it.
- Clicking a consumable prefers an existing matching partial stack before using an empty belt position.
- Items can be dragged directly onto compatible equipped positions.
- Hold Shift while clicking or dragging to choose an exact quantity.
- Shift also allows part of an equipped stack to be returned to Inventory.
- Returning a large food or drink stack can distribute it across multiple compatible Inventory positions after confirming enough space exists.
- Consumables merge only when their identity, quality, and crafted variant match.
- Lockpicks remain restricted to their dedicated lockpick position.
- Revive Kits remain separate from automatic potion behavior.
- Transfers validate capacity before changing either side, preventing partial transfers or lost items when a destination is incompatible or full.
Save Compatibility
- Existing campaigns migrate automatically to save schema 71.
- Existing ground loot receives a fresh full lifetime after migration rather than disappearing immediately.
- Existing hunt health is converted using the same remaining-health percentage, preserving dead, wounded, and skinned states.
- Older equipped consumable stacks remain valid.
- New 99-item equipped stacks save and load exactly.
- No campaign restart is required.
Stability
- Fixed a rare exception caused by the party roster changing during the same tick that a recruit permanently died.
- Party processing now completes against a stable roster snapshot without changing deterministic character order.
- Updated the campaign release check to wait for the company startup presentation before testing campaign loading.
