Hey everyone,

We have been watching the wishlists roll in all week, and we could not keep quiet any longer. So here are three quick pieces of news, and one big thank you.

Porthole has a release date

It is official: Porthole goes live on Steam on August 3, 2026 at 7:00 AM PDT (10:00 AM EDT / 2:00 PM UTC / 4:00 PM CEST / 11:00 PM JST). We have been building toward this for a long time, and we cannot wait to finally put it in your hands.

Thank you for an unreal first few days

In just a few days on Steam, tens of thousands of you added Porthole to your wishlist, far more than we ever expected. We keep re-checking the numbers to make sure they are real.

Every wishlist genuinely helps a small team like ours, and seeing this many of you excited to play together has made our whole week. Thank you, truly.

Porthole now has an official website

You can find it at porthole.sestudio.org. It explains how the whole thing works in plain language, answers the questions we hear most, and is available in every language Porthole ships in. If a friend is on the fence, it is a great place to send them.

See you at launch

If you have not already, add Porthole to your wishlist so Steam can tell you the moment it goes live, and share it with the friend you have been meaning to play with. Thank you, again, for making this one of the best weeks we could have asked for.

See you on August 3.

- The SeStudio Team

Porthole is free, so is there a way to give something back? Until now the answer was no. The Supporter Pack changes that. Here is the honest version. The pack locks no features away.
