Community Update - June 2026

Core Keeper · published 2 months ago

All eventsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Hi Explorers! It's shaping up to be a scorcher of a summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. It's so hot, it's making the Desert of Beginnings look cool 🌞 We've got lots of fun community activity to share with you from the month of June, starting with a fun video that we hope some of our newer community members found useful!

Resizing Tool Areas

There are some Core Keeper tips and tricks that even veteran players might have missed. For instance, did you know that you can resize the area of equipment like shovels, hoes, and even the roofing tool? Check out our informative video here!

Soundtrack Update!

We updated our original soundtrack on Steam to include 2x unreleased concept tracks! These are titled "Mining Droplets" and "Nature Nuance" and were created by our very own Fredrik Präntare before we began work with Jonathan Geer! ✨ If you already own the soundtrack or Explorer's Edition (which includes our soundtrack), all you need to do is update the files in your Steam library to download the tracks!

Which Is Your Favourite Cattle Colour?

Our cattle come in all colours of the rainbow and some colours are more rare than others. When all is said and done, though, the original purple Moolin still has a firm place in our hearts. Which cattle colour is your favourite?

Heart Berry Flavour?

We asked our community to tell us what they think a Heart Berry from Core Keeper probably tastes like and your responses did not disappoint! Here are a few of our favourites from this thread on X.

"Sweet creamy and earthy, between a blueberry and a strawberry, but with some punch." - A J

"I always think they taste like radishes" - Valnaer || Sphinx ENVtuber

"The texture of a peach and the flavor of a strawberry and raspberry" - Khaos_Kowl

"It tastes like Heart berry. Duh" - Ritchie SH

IRL Notes From the Underground!

Our community manager, Bridie, found a notebook with some community feedback they'd jotted down to share in a meeting about our Open Alpha test back in 2021! You can really see how this early feedback helped shape the game 🤯 They told us to tell you that they're ashamed of their handwriting 😅

Caveling Merchant Comparison

There are lots of merchants in Core Keeper now, with the original merchant still hanging out in the Forgotten Ruins roughly 270 tiles from the Core! We dug out some early merchant concept art for a side-by-side (or above-and-below, depending on how this formats on Steam 🤣) comparison with Core Keeper's newest Otherworldly Merchant!

Vanity Slots Top Tip!

Here's another top tip for new and experienced players alike. The dresser is more than a paintable, decorative item. You can use it to hide or change the appearance of your armour! Find out more in this helpful video.

Quick Potion Mod by Parcew

We wanted to shine a spotlight on an awesome mod created by the talented Parcew that allows you to assign hotkeys to potions and food! You can now eat, heal, buff, and replenish your mana at the push of your chosen buttons ✨ Check out the mod here!

Base Museum by casey_kc

Discord user, casey_kc, worked hard to create this amazing museum in their base. This is very much a work in progress, but here's what casey_kc had to say!

"I wanted to make a museum that felt more like a real museum, rather than a place to put my collections. Landed on the idea for dioramas of each biome + valuables found in these biomes to represent anthropological evidence of past civilizations..."

Dliflect's Automated Base Tour

We saw a little love for Dliflect's amazing base building prowess in the community Discord and just had to share this awesome automated base tour. Big shout out to Nokke for drawing our attention to it!

Disco Build by CozyBaseTours
Speaking of base tours, CozyBaseTours has done it again! Check out this fun and fully functional disco base tour, perfect for funky Explorers who love to dance 🕺

Thank you very much for being such an awesome community! As always, don't forget to follow us on Discord, X, Bluesky, TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit for more Core Keeper news and announcements!
