Update 10 brought many new features and improvements to SubwaySim 2. At the same time, a few new issues appeared after release, and we want to respond to them as quickly as possible.
That's why we're making a new Public Beta available today. It already includes the first bug fixes for some of the most significant issues reported to us since the release of Update 10.
The AL1 Battery Locomotive scenarios are working correctly again.
Fixed an issue where switches could block AI trains, preventing routes from being set correctly – for example at Berliner Tor or Breitenbachplatz station.
The Log.txt file was being unnecessarily filled with a large number of debug prints. Some of these have now been removed, reducing unnecessary logging and improving performance.
Since releasing a patch on consoles will take a little longer due to the weekend, we don't want to unnecessarily hold back the fixes that are already finished.
The Public Beta allows us to provide PC players with these first fixes right away, while also giving us the opportunity to verify that the changes work reliably during regular gameplay.
At the same time, we're continuing to work on the reported issues and preparing the next regular patch for all platforms.
You can activate the Public Beta directly through Steam:
Steam Library → Right-click SubwaySim 2 → Properties → Betas → Beta Participation
Select the Public Beta branch from the list. Steam should then automatically download the corresponding update.
Please keep in mind that this is a beta version, so additional bugs or other issues may still occur.
If you decide to test the Public Beta, we'd really appreciate your feedback and bug reports. This helps us thoroughly test the changes before they are included in the regular release.
