Hey everyone!
Many of you have been asking and wondering the same thing: “Will this game receive more updates, or is the 1.0 release final?”
My answer is straightforward:
YES! APPROXIMATELY UP WILL KEEP RECEIVING SIGNIFICANT UPDATES FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT 3–5 YEARS!
This is just the beginning! I’ve been working on this game for the past 5 years. I really love this game, I’m proud of it, and I fully intend to keep developing it for many more years. I genuinely love working on Approximately Up, and I want to bring you a ton of new content, features, improvements, and updates over the coming years!
Some of the things you can definitely expect in the next few weeks:
Mirroring of individual components and whole selections
Pausing the game in singleplayer
Speeding up simulation time — this may be controversial for some people, but I understand there are players who still want to enjoy the game but simply don’t have hours for longer flights because of family, work, or other things. I want to come up with a solution that works for both players who want to speed up flight time and players who still want to be rewarded for completing missions in real-world time
Undo button
Rotating writable labels by 180 degrees
A block that measures spaceship weight
Emergency opening of doors if they get disconnected from power during a crash
Data Plotter
And this is far from everything I have planned!
Stay tuned, fly safe, and thank you for your support! You are the best!
