Playtest during the Deckbuilders Fest

Chaos Coin Demo · published 3 May 2026, 17:49 UTC

Hi, everyone! Nate here.

The Steam Deckbuilders Fest is this week, and really, what is a coin but two cards back-to-back?

Chaos Coin will be participating by opening up a public playtest! Make sure you’ve joined the playtest so that you can be the first to try it out.

I’ve been grinding away at the bug mountain that always forms during development to polish up the first zone as much as possible, though there’s still quite a lot to do, given how many different interactions there can be between all the coins!

Please make sure to use the feedback form in the pause menu to send me any suggestions or issues you find. Everything is fair game; tell me all your little UI nitpicks, which coins are way too strong, or whatever else you’d like.

Any run that makes it to the end of this demo portion of the game will both count as a win and be playable in the full game, so your progress will carry over. Plus, I’m planning to include more content in later demos, so you can look forward to playing again even if you join this playtest.

I hope you enjoy your first look at Chaos Coin!

Chaos Coin DemoGame update10 Sep 2026Update v0.3.5.1Just some patch notes on this one since it's a small set of changes! · Fix to Push coin previews after backing out of a selection. · Fix to RNG advancing erroneously during some coin previews with random effects. · Tailwind will not damage if movement is Anchored. · Player version of Howl now Swaps instead of Moves. · Poise Penny revised to deal higher damage as HP loss, randomly distributed. ·…In-game event4 Sep 2026Update Version 0.3.5 - Bug BashingHi, all! I have a whole host of bug fixes in this update — primarily little things all over the game with no focus in particular, though it feels like there were a few big things since I made some major revisions behind-the-scenes in order to fix a lot of bugs at once. Most players have run into at least one of these, so the game on the whole should be a little clearer now. Also, the Seattle In…Major update20 Aug 2026Update Version 0.3.4 - Lynx! <Smash announcer voice>Hi, all! Just in time for the Anthro Festival 2026 , I have an exciting addition to the demo: You can now play as Lynx! They’re a berserker type who deals heavy damage but often targets randomly or self-debuffs, so they require more flexibility and planning to use effectively. (They’re also my favorite character to play.) Lynx is unlocked when you clear the second zone, and they’ll immediately…
