Hey all,
For the past couple of months I've been building I Buried Steve, and it's finally at the point where other people can play it.
The idea is simple. Players take turns picking traps and blocks, and everyone builds a course that only they know how to finish. Then the countdown hits zero and all eight of you run it at once. Add some ridiculous modifiers, proximity voice chat and split screen, and that's the game.
The full tutorial and all of multiplayer. Every build piece, every power-up, every modifier.
8-player online and LAN with proximity voice chat Couch co-op with two players per screen Spinning blades, swinging axes, punch blocks, pipes, bounce pads and portals, boomerangs, and a spade for burying rivals waist-deep in the sand Low gravity, black ice, battleship shells and the Sharknado
The 30-star solo campaign and the level builder are still in progress and will land with the full game.
I want to be straight about that. There will be rough edges and things that don't work the way they should. That's exactly why it's out — I'd rather find out now than after launch.
If you play it, tell me what happened. What broke, what felt bad, what made your friends yell at you.
Post in the Steam discussions or drop into the Discord.
Thanks for playing,
Thyme
