This weekend Alan and I are at Community Effort Orlando, a.k.a. CEO! If you're coming too, check out our booth at the Indie Showcase within JebaileyWorld.
Whether or not you're coming, we also have an update!
Input Shortcuts
- You can now hold up+back or down+back to do backflip or neutral+block without pressing the block button. You might find this matches your intution on how to input these options.
- You can now double tap a ground direction to do direction + block, up+up to do an all-new empty neutral jump, or a button to do neutral + button.
- Ideally, this SHOULD be hard to do on accident but not too hard to do it on purpose.
- If you use these shortcuts in Arcade, Sensei Bob will explain them in a tooltip.
- If you hate this feature, you should be able to turn off all shortcuts in Options under Input Shortcuts.
Other Input Related Stuff
- The input buffer is now smaller for block and direction inputs, but... you can now hold down the block button or a direction at the start of a turn without returning your d-pad or lever to neutral. For a fun time, try holding down block+walk in training mode.
- When both players block, there is now a small delay of ~20f before the next turn starts instead of it happening within like 1-2 frames.
The Gig is Back! (Time Limited Event)
- For the next week or so, we're bringing back the preview of Paul's new stage, 'The Gig'... except now the background is an exterior photo of the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando. We're still working on the real stage background.
- The draft stage music for 'The Gig' has been added back to Paul's stage. It's also not finished yet either, so it will also go away (for now) after this weekend. We can't have one without the other of course.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Jerma Nick not doing any push with his normal throws.
