First off, thank you. Crownhold is my first game, and seeing people actually playing and enjoying it means a lot. I know there are still rough edges, but I hope most of you are having a good time with it despite them.
Due to the feedback I'm starting to overhaul the endgame to make it less dependent on Prestige, give more freedom how to complete it with different playstyles and improve the explanations so there is less confusion how to progress. This patch adds new visuals, a new leveling system for the endgame city and soldier upgrades that unlock based on the battle progression.
More updates with additional unlocks and a couple of new systems for the last stages will follow to make the progression feel more engaging towards the end.
One of the three new castle buildouts:
A new way to increase Dominion gain:
Finished endgame city now allows to generate a bonus to increase Dominion gain in exchange for resources.
Added 3 new main castle buildouts + Dominion gain bonus linked to the destruction of the 3 bastions in the endgame
Added soldier damage upgrades (that in turn increase Dominion gain) linked to the destruction of the 3 bastions
A lot of these new upgrades appear before unlocking to make it clearer how to progress in the last expansion.
Unlocking all warfare upgrades now hides unnecessary supply upgrades
Numerous tooltip explanation improvements
The game now loads it's assets without multithreading due to an engine bug that caused missing textures. This change can increase loading times on low-end CPUs but not make a big difference with most setups
Fixed a state that could leave the game finale softlocked on repeated runs
Fixed skip button placement that could trim the German translation text
