Mirklurk: Every Step Matters · published · build 24368728

This patch adds the following:
The player can now choose between male and female body types.
20+ new hair styles.
Added a new quality to burnable items: Ignitability. So twigs will be easier to burn than logs for example. Also added two types of bark which are very good to start fires with.
An option not-to-dodge, since all directions might we worse than remaining still.
Added a new enemy/being type for you to discover!
This patch changes the following:
Less chance of slipping on mud and when going down slopes.
Clearer instruction on how to get up when downed. The cursor will indicate that you can click anywhere and ending your turn will also cause the player to rise, if possible.
Attack of Opportunity now has a chance, related to each being, readable when examining beings.
Attack of Opportunity can only be done once per turn for each enemy, and there will be a pop-up showing if they missed it.
Updated the Codex about information about beings different intelligence levels. Beast-info (the menu that you get when examining beings) now includes more information, like special stuff (troll regeneration for example), melee strike distance, attack intelligence etc.
Added more complexity to which "teams" beings belongs to. So rats and trolls can attack each other, Nightmare will attack other Nightmares (nasty creatures!), etc.
Cave Trolls gives the same XP as Swamp Trolls, since they are about the same difficulty.
Balanced the weather system further.
The cursor will update the players path once every second despite not moving to a new tile, removing a slightly annoying edge case where the player had to move the cursor to get the game to respond, if that makes sense.
This patch fixes the following:
Make sure that graves are never interior decoration. (Retro-active fix also)
Makes it impossible to sell rift weave before the mainquest requires it.
The fire-starting menu will be adjusted if there are tons of options for fuel, for example.
Fixed an annoying issue in which enemies briefly faced the wrong direction in combat.
That is it for now! Soon I will begin working on the larger patch, which probably will take a month or so: It will focus on growing, harvesting/foraging, building, and add a bunch of content related to that!
As always: Should this patch cause anything unforseen, let me know ASAP!
A billion thanks for your feedback, patience, bug-reporting and support!
Remember to leave a review - it really helps the game grow!
Best wishes and lots of love! <3
