VERSION 0.590

Return to Planet Zoveka Playtest · published 29 Jul 2026, 20:10 UTC

All eventsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

- Dust Rush now starts with the ship's maximum camera zoom unlocked, while the redundant Dust Miner 360 View Upgrade Kit no longer appears in equipment choices.
- Steam Playtest Creator Preview access now accepts either a creator code for personalised title artwork or a clean-preview code for the normal unbranded title screen.
- Steam Deck and other SteamOS players can now tap or click supported text fields to open the Steam on-screen keyboard without first activating the controller cursor.
- Steam Deck sessions now apply dedicated visual tuning, beginning with slightly larger dust particles for clearer presentation at 800p while desktop particle sizing remains unchanged.
- Config now includes a Small Text Boost accessibility slider from Off to +4; Steam Deck starts automatically at +2, desktop starts Off, player-selected values persist across devices, compact menus and HUD readouts provide extra room for the larger text, and the Other Settings layout keeps the slider clear of its section heading.
- Raw Dust, Clean Dust, and SuperDust HUD capacities now use a compact coral slash without surrounding spaces, leaving more room for large values.
- The main resource HUD now uses its wider authored layout in gameplay, providing more room for large resource values.
- The Spaceport Trader's two one-time thank-you gifts now trigger correctly after the first and fifth completed Zoveka Personal Projects.
- The Ship Bridge Room background now fills 16:10 displays such as Steam Deck without exposing space or black bands above and below; characters, room features, and controls keep their existing screen positions.
- The title-screen exit confirmation now accepts controller A for Yes and B for No directly, with matching controller-family glyphs, so quitting does not require moving the cursor onto either button.
- Tab now smoothly cycles the camera through every owned structure, worker, and important base object in a nearest-neighbour route; Shift+Tab moves backwards, and relevant range or work indicators briefly appear after each focus.
- Range indicators now use consistent category colours: cyan for dust acquisition, yellow for logistics, green for production, red for defence, and purple for utility, with lighter input and darker output variants keeping multi-range equipment readable.
- Manual Magnetic Suction Bomb targeting now keeps its range circle visible from target selection until the shot is confirmed or cancelled, making valid locations easier to judge without changing Auto Fire.
- Selecting an applicable upgrade in Inventory and hovering a compatible structure or worker now adds a read-only Upgrade preview to its stats tooltip, showing current and projected values where available. Circular range improvements also display a lighter secondary coverage circle before the upgrade is committed.
- Automatic camera and cursor guidance when selecting an Inventory upgrade is now disabled by default and can be enabled with Auto-Focus Upgrade Targets under Other Settings.
- Hovering the main ship's dust-intake corkscrew now identifies it as the Raw Dust Intake and explains its tier and queue requirements.
- Hover information for inventory items, trader filters and loans, pirate loans, and world equipment now stays fully inside the visible screen even when a draggable window sits near an edge.
- Inventory and Spaceport, Friendly Alien, and Space Pirate item icons now sit just outside the window frame with a slightly larger translucent treatment, smoothly glide to the opposite edge near screen boundaries, fade and scale into view only while the pointer is over their window, and subtly grow to follow the currently hovered row.
- The Space Trading Outpost now keeps all seven category tabs in fixed positions with compact category icons and darkens categories that have no current purchase. Once a shop item has been purchased or revealed, it remains visible as a dimmed, non-clickable row whenever credits or requirements make it unavailable, while genuinely undiscovered stock stays hidden.
