Adventurers,
Today marks the release of the 1.0 full release of the Adventurers! I honestly don't think I can put into words how grateful I am to everyone who helped get the game where it is today.
The patch notes are fairly large but you can take a look at them here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/3062500/discussions/0/4625854060009886796/
To everyone who played, reported bugs, wrote up feedback (even harsh ones at times), answered my questions, gave me suggestions, and stuck with the game through all the random errors (like when a save file got messed up), THANK YOU. Everything shaped the game to what it is today. There were definitely mistakes along the way and more than a few decisions I probably would have done differently but you all put up with those moments and continued to give the game a chance.
The game has mostly been a solo side project for quite a while now and I am so happy at how far it has come. But I also wanted to give a big thank you to all the artists I partnered with along the way. I never called myself a solo project because when so many people have helped in the community and contractors I worked with (especially early on), I never wanted to say it was all just me because the honest truth is it wasn't and it wouldn't have been fair to say that.
The Adventurers could not have made it to where it is without you all. This idea grew into something much larger because you were all willing to play it, criticize it and support it.
I know there are a lot of questions about what's next? I don't have every answer, but I can tell you the world of Shion will continue on. In the immediate future I want to continue opening up more elements to modding if there is a demand for it.
The game has so many layers on it that are really easy to miss as well so to aid in that I have created three new guides as well.
The Adventurer Guide - Covers the adventurers themselves and some of the systems surrounding them.
The Towns Guide - Explains the town features, shops, prosperity and relationships etc as its easier to misunderstand how the world plays a factor.
The Modding Guide - A guide to creating your own mods and upload them to the Steam Workshop.
Again, I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for playing, thank you for your patience, thank you for your criticism, thank you for the support, and thank you for sticking around even when things didn't go exactly to plan.
I hope you enjoy the 1.0 release and continue to adventure with me in the land of Shion.
Thank you, Adventurers, as you went on the journey right alongside me and I couldn't have asked for a better party.
