Welcome to Rust Rides Rebuild! In this regular update (currently in closed testing), we are introducing the prototype of L1_77Landscape [AMLand] - our powerful new system that is set to completely replace the standard Unreal Engine 5.7.4 landscape in our project.
Key Features of This Patch:
Fully Interactive Surface: The landscape reacts dynamically to your actions. Soft soil compresses under your vehicle, heavy rigs carve deep tracks, and the terrain deforms in response to explosions, physical damage, and kinetic impulses.
Mass Flow Simulation: Soil behavior now depends on material type. Drive through wet sand or loose mud, and the tracks will naturally settle back in over time. Leave your mark on dense soil or solid rock, and the damage remains permanent.
Seamless Asynchronous Generation: We have developed a custom system that generates new terrain in the background. As long as your PC meets the minimum system requirements, you can experience terrain streaming without any lag.
Dynamic LOD System (Optimization): To achieve maximum detail without sacrificing performance, our system smoothly simplifies the landscape based on your distance, altitude, and even your current speed.
The next update will focus on visual improvements to generation and additional optimization.
Thank you for participating in testing and helping us build the game!!
