Calling all survivors!
We can finally announce Survival Log's official Steam launch date: August 12, 2026!
As you might remember, we were working toward a release date of late July.
Please accept our apologies for running two weeks behind schedule: These two weeks are being used for final testing and polishing of the finished version. Since the release of the demo, we've been going through your feedback line by line to fix problems. Content like endless mode, defense facilities, post-disaster exploration, custom difficulty, and the 100-day survival experience for 3 main protagonists required careful testing.
After constant rebalancing efforts, we decided that rather than rushing to release the game, it would be better to spend a little more time to polish it so that players can enjoy a stable and complete version of the game from day one.
Stockpile for the Apocalypse: Scour supermarkets, hardware stores, farmers' markets and used car lots. Leave no corner untouched. Before society collapses, grab everything you'll need to stay alive.
Turn Your House Into a Fortress: Pick up furniture and building supplies to turn your humble home into a three-story fortress, with daily necessities, supply storage, generators, crop planting and more.
Secure Your Stronghold: Plant crops, cook food, and generate electricity to build a shelter safe from the zombie hordes.
Survive Crisis After Crisis: Rainstorms, cold snaps, and zombie hordes threaten your chances of survival. Set up sandbags, electricity generation, and deadly traps to fend off the undead clawing at your door.
Venture Outside for Supplies: Explore deserted supermarkets, abandoned schools and hospitals. Will you risk it all for the supplies you desperately need?
Team Up to Survive: Rescue trapped neighbors, use drones to trade with distant survivors, and build a mutual aid network to survive the apocalypse.
Multiple Characters, Different Experiences: The neighbor you saved could be you next time. Control 3 playable characters, each with their own abilities and branching storylines.
Seize the Day and the Day After: You're stuck in a time loop. Each failure brings new experience you can use to survive, uncover the truth behind the disaster, and reach your ending.
The final version also contains:
100 days of post-disaster survival gameplay.
Survivor interactions—communicate by cell phone, help neighbors, and trade with others.
Tower defense gameplay.
Custom difficulty selection and endless mode.
A complete weather system.
And countless random events...
Plus more content waiting to be uncovered. This time, surviving for 20 days is just the beginning.
The game is priced at $10.99, with a 15% discount for the first 2 weeks on sale. So if you're interested, there's no better time to check it out!
Whether you love the game or you've found something that could be improved, we'd love to hear from you on our official Discord, where you can discuss the game, report bugs, and provide valuable feedback. Your thoughts are extremely important to us!
Launch day is August 12, but it doesn't stop there. There are lots of things we still want to do: after the launch we'll continue updating the game to fix issues, improve your experience and add more content. From the first playtest to the demo, your feedback has helped us to shape the game, and will continue to help us after the launch.
Thank you to every one of our survivors for coming on this journey with us!
See you on August 12!
