Update #85: Roll Up

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint · published 4 months ago · build 23203732

All eventsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Knights and mercs! We've got another big follow-up to the Ward War that addresses some areas the Era could feel more engaged, improves the mission HUD for long press End Turn for controllers, improves some Matrix UI, and fixes a big set of community F10s!

Before we dive into the specifics, let us welcome the thousands of new players who have dived into heisting in the New Boston Zone these last weeks - we're here to chat and hang out all the time on our Steam boards and on our official Trese Brothers Discord.

And finally, a reminder - if you are enjoying the all these free updates and major expansions and a saved game policy that never wrecks your game, please take a short minute to leave a review ːsteamhappyː !

Our Save Game Policy and Updates

Since you'll always be seeing a lot of updates around here, we want to reiterate our saved game policy so everyone understands our commitment to your games. No saved game will ever be invalidated by an update. All new content and features will be added immediately to all saved games (with the reasonable exception of New Game options). You never have to restart if you don't want to. This is a studio commitment that we have made and kept for many years and games. We stand by it. So do not stress about the deluge of updates that is coming your way - heist on my good heisters.

Ward War: Gain Era Score from Any Faction Mission

With Update #85, we've tied the Ward War Era into more of the game's simulation to improve pacing and your ability to affect it by supporting your Contacts in any job or mission.

With Update #85, completing any mission for Brave Star or for Los Zagales will increase the Era Score by +4% for them. Failing any such mission will cost them -2% to their Era Score. This is only positive (never reducing the other faction score) and around 1/2 what you can get for a Ward War specific mission. But it can help if you roll a regular mission for Co-Conspire instead of drawing a Ward Ward specific mission or you just get a proc-gen mission from a Brave Star contact - anything you're doing to help them, helps their position in the Era conflict.

This means, Scav missions, Assassinations, Bodyguards, the Carnivore storyline - anything kind of proc-gen or story mission that you complete during the Ward War will bump the score a little bit for your favored Faction.

Ward War F10 Drive

We're still chasing minor F10s from the Ward War and getting them wrapped up:

  • For the final Los Zagales mission "PENTHOUSE CON" we fixed the missing link to the objective on the matrix terminal and the fact that sometimes the second stage might start with the objective for the CPU Spike already completed (too easy!)

  • We fixed the Sleaze 4 program from the Era echo Shadow Site as it was badly linked to Sleaze 3

  • We fixed the AR and UAR from the Era echo Shadow Site having the visuals of an E-Rifles

Controllers: Long Press for End Turn

With Update #85, we've updated the visuals of the HUD for controllers to make the long press option on X to end your current turn more clear. A press bar now appears under the HUD button. You can still go up and use the button by hitting (X) to get into the HUD, pressing up and then using (A) to activate it, but you can also just hold down (X) to end your turn the fast way.

Hacking UI Fixes

For the matrix HUD, we followed up on a few community F10s to improve this. Thanks for all the feedback!

  • There were some badly linked hovers in the top left of the matrix HUD - now fixed.

  • If you arrived at an RCU with a door linked to it, but the door had been opened by another source (a door switch, etc) then it was not clearly marked as "already opened, cannot be controlled". We've improved that one.

Movement Plotting Issues

We fixed a number of movement plotting and destination issues with this one - specifically a lock up that was happening for flying drones (was hotfixed earlier), an issue where sometimes characters could run from building top to building top without going down stairs - just flying. Also, we resolved an issue that could cause the AI to lock up if they were standing under a bridge with a walkable area on top, which could cause them to skip terms.

v2.6.27 - #85: Roll Up - 5/12/2026

- Any mission for Los Zagales or Brave Star during Ward War will now effect score (+4%) including proc-gen, story, etc

- Fixed issues with Sleaze IV from Shadow Site being mislinked to Sleaze III

- Fixed bug in PENTHOUSE CON mission where second CPU Spike could already be completed at the start of the stage

- Fixed bug in PENTHOUSE CON where objective would not highlight the target matrix terminal in 1/8 possible cases

- Improved display of long press in HUD for End Turn button when enabled

- Fixed bugs in specific map areas where character or enemy might be able to run through thin area from one rooftop to another

- Fixed bug with Hardened Targets sometimes appearing in random missions after attempting the ending of the Ward War

- Fixed mismatched hover text matrix HUD

- Improved clarity of messages in RCU if a door has already been hacked or opened by some other means

- Fixed specific bugs when AI standing on bridges with walkable area underneath might get confused and not move for multiple turns

- Improved modal pop up anchor for appearance color picker so that it will not hover over top of character while picking colors

- Fixed bugs with AR and UAR coming out of Shadow Site that looked like E-Rifles

- Fixed bugs with enemy drone movement sometimes locking up
