Critical fix for online functionality

Two critical online issues have been fixed in the Demo:

  • The online login now renews itself, so the session no longer drops after an hour of continuous play.
  • The game no longer freezes when you quickly double-click a piece or a card during your turn.

We also made several changes players asked for:

  • Removed the automatic dimming of all pieces except yours at the start of a turn. Instead, a button at the bottom of the screen turns this view on and off. You can do the same with the right mouse button (click to toggle, hold to peek) or with two fingers on a touchscreen, as the button's tooltip explains. The button itself can be hidden in Options.
  • The new "Action hints" option turns off the long notice about the action you drew. Players who already know every action by its icon asked for this; the icon still appears in the center of the screen.
  • Player names are now always the same color as their pieces.
  • In team games, the team number is shown next to each player's name instead of a colored square.
  • Bots now pause briefly before passing the turn, so it's easier to follow what they did.

They worked on making the game interesting and competitive, and friends of mine who are artists made it look and sound fun. Some of you will recognise the classic cross-shaped board, the same one as in Ludo or Mensch ärgere Dich nicht. That last one really was the starting point for this project: it is what…
