Major Update: Life Pace, Formative Years & Living Connections

A Major New Chapter for LIVORA

A major new update has arrived for LIVORA, introducing some of the biggest additions to the game so far.

This update is about giving you more control over how your Life unfolds, while making the people, relationships and history around you matter even more.

At the centre of the update are four major new systems:

• Life Pace

• Formative Years

• Opportunity Network

• Family Network & Dynamics

Together, they expand LIVORA from both ends of your Life — from the circumstances that shape you growing up, to the people and connections that can continue influencing your future decades later.

Life Pace

You can now choose how closely you want to live each part of your Life.

Day Pace

Day Pace is the detailed LIVORA experience you already know.

Live your Life day by day, manage what needs your attention and experience events as they happen.

Week Pace

Week Pace gives you a faster way to move through quieter periods without turning LIVORA into a simple time-skip system.

Instead of requiring interaction every single day, LIVORA can move your Life forward through the week while surfacing the moments that actually matter.

You might see a week where:

Work was mostly routine.
You spent Saturday with a friend.
Your relationship has been feeling stronger.
An important appointment is coming up next week.

But underneath that faster experience, LIVORA is still processing the real days of your Life.

Money, careers, education, relationships, health, family, commitments, events and consequences continue to evolve properly.

Month Pace

Month Pace gives you the widest view of your Life, letting LIVORA move through longer quieter stretches while still bringing important moments back to you.

Instead of checking in every day or every week, LIVORA can move your Life forward through the month while continuing to process each individual day underneath.

You might see a month where:

Work stayed steady for most of the month.
Several routines became part of your normal week.
A planned trip changed the shape of one weekend.
An important career decision needed you halfway through the month.

When something genuinely important happens, Month Pace pauses at that exact day and gives the decision back to you. Once it is resolved, you can continue the month from the Life that choice created.

Bills, pay, careers, education, relationships, health, family, commitments, holidays, world events, scenarios and consequences still happen on their proper days.

Month Pace does not skip your Life. It simply lets you step back from the routine parts while keeping full control over the moments that matter.

You can still plan individual days during Month Pace, switch back to Week or Day Pace whenever it is safe to do so, and continue using the rest of LIVORA normally.

Life Pace changes how often you need to interact with your Life — not the depth of the simulation underneath it.

You can use Day Pace when you want greater detail and Week/Month Pace when you want your Life to move more naturally through quieter stretches.

Formative Years

This is one of the biggest additions ever made to LIVORA.

When starting a new Life, you can now choose between:

Adult Life — begin with the traditional LIVORA experience.

or

Formative Years — begin your Life from birth.

Formative Years is not simply adult LIVORA with the player's age changed to zero.

It is a different way to begin your Life.

Build the person you eventually become

Your early Life moves more quickly, focusing on the experiences that actually shape you rather than asking you to manually play every ordinary childhood day.

During your earliest years, your household and family have much more influence over your world.

As you grow older, you gradually gain more control.

Childhood introduces things such as school, friendships, teachers, hobbies, interests, confidence and responsibility.

Adolescence brings stronger friendships, identity, family tension, Digital Life, education pressure, aspirations and greater independence.

By 16 and 17, your Life increasingly begins connecting with the full systems of LIVORA through qualifications, further education, apprenticeships, work, your own money, relationships and decisions about your future.

Then you turn 18.

There is no character reset.

There is no second Life.

There is no random Adult Starting Life waiting for you.

The Life you lived becomes your adult starting position.

You might enter adulthood living with your parents while studying.

You might already have a job.

You could be on an apprenticeship, saving towards independence, planning university, in a relationship or still unsure where your Life is heading.

Your friendships, family relationships, education, memories and circumstances all continue with you.

You don't choose who you are at 18 from a menu. You build that person by living their story.

And importantly, Formative Years is completely optional. Players who prefer the existing adult-start experience can continue starting their Lives that way.

Opportunity Network

Relationships in LIVORA can now matter in a completely new way.

The people you genuinely know may sometimes change which opportunities reach you.

A former colleague might hear about a job.

A manager you worked well with could recommend you elsewhere.

A friend may know about a house share.

Someone you know in another area could make relocation feel less uncertain.

A previous client might come back with a new business opportunity.

A childhood friend could unexpectedly become relevant again many years later.

These aren't random bonuses and there is no artificial Networking XP or Social Capital score.

The opportunity comes from the actual person and the actual relationship you have built with them.

And a connection does not guarantee success.

A recommendation may get you through the door, but your qualifications, experience, circumstances and the normal systems of LIVORA still determine what happens next.

The result is that relationships can now matter long after the moment in which they were first created.

Someone you meet today may genuinely change something years from now.

Family Network & Dynamics

Families now have the potential to behave much more like living, interconnected networks.

Family members do not simply exist independently around the player.

Relationships within the wider family can develop, change and sometimes affect one another.

Depending on the people and circumstances involved, your family may experience things such as close sibling relationships, disagreements, reconciliation, family gatherings, practical support, childcare, financial help, estrangement, caregiving, bereavement, changing relationships with in-laws, family expectations and different branches of the family gradually becoming closer or drifting apart.

Support is not guaranteed simply because someone is related to you.

A relative's ability and willingness to help depends on their own circumstances and the relationship you have built with them.

Likewise, unresolved problems can carry history.

A disagreement doesn't necessarily disappear because the event has finished.

And these dynamics can continue through generations.

The relationships created during Formative Years can therefore become part of your adult Life, and potentially part of the story experienced by future generations as well.

Everything Connects

The most important part of this update is not any single feature.

It is how they work together.

A childhood friendship formed during Formative Years could survive into adulthood.

Years later, that friend could reconnect through the Opportunity Network.

A strong relationship with a sibling could eventually lead to practical help through Family Network & Dynamics.

And when your Life enters a quieter period, Week Pace lets that Life continue moving without requiring you to manually work through every ordinary day.

That is the direction LIVORA continues to move towards:

A Life where what happened before can meaningfully affect what happens next.

Your Existing Lives

You do not need to start from childhood to continue enjoying LIVORA.

The traditional Adult Life start remains available.

Existing Adult Lives continue as Adult Lives and are not given artificial childhood histories.

Formative Years is an additional way to begin a new Life, not a replacement for the existing experience.

More Under the Hood

A large amount of work has also gone into ensuring these new systems remain compatible with LIVORA's wider simulation, including Life history, generations, relationships, education, careers, money, housing, geography, health, scenarios and long-running saves.

The goal remains the same:

More depth without sacrificing the speed and responsiveness of actually playing your Life.
