Please keep the feedback coming! I also have a favour to ask: if you’re enjoying the demo, please consider leaving a review on the Steam demo page (a couple of words is enough). It really helps with the algorithm. :)
Saved roughly 1.5GB of VRAM in each level by optimising textures and modifying camera activation and render targets. This should help everyone, but especially players with older GPUs.
Improved lighting and shadow performance game-wide
Added an option to disable animated hair, which is CPU-intensive. If you’re still experiencing performance issues, try disabling this at Options > Game > Lux.
You can now save up to 20 custom outfits at Dressing Room > Killer Outfits
If Fan Service is enabled, the new category “Tactical Underdress” now appears in the Dressing Room after the first time heavy damage occurs during combat
Added Turkish language support
Lux now puts away the rifle and shotgun when she jogs, and rearms when she stops - more Lux, less Rambo!
The Visionary achievement was too easy, especially now that cooldown has been removed for the Optics ability. Replaced it with Genetic Bullying (target an enemy’s vulnerability with a DNA attack 15 times).
Reduced the chance of a taunt animation playing to 12%
Changed the “Collectible in range” behaviour. It will now be displayed for 8 seconds every time Lux is within 5m of a collectible. Previously, it was only displayed the first time Lux was within 7m of it. This should make them easier to locate, without being too easy.
The Chinese-Traditional, Ukrainian, and updated Polish translations weren’t being loaded. Fixed.
Lux’s arm was crossing the path of her flashlight when she jogs, causing flickering. Fixed.
Lux’s health was regenerating while the game was paused. Fixed.
Lux would sometimes look up while in the Dressing Room or Style Studio. Fixed.
After picking up the garden gnome, an invisible wall was left. This was also happening with the artifact dropped by the mutant. Fixed.
Please note that this is a demo of a work-in-progress. Because the code base and internal design is continually changing during development, you may need to start a new game to load new content and some bug fixes. When the full game is released, this won’t be necessary of course: the game content and code will be regularly updated and you won’t lose your progress.
