Hey backers,
The wedding fund just doubled. Thanks to your insane momentum, Lethal Wedding has officially blasted past 200% funding! You are giving this bride a massive war chest to take down the clown syndicate, and the whole team at Mega Cat is completely floored by the support.
Because you stepped up to back this project so early, the open warfare is hitting a whole new level. To celebrate crossing this massive milestone, our CEO and chief pixel wrangler, James Deighan, wanted to drop a quick message to the crew:
"Lethal Wedding just hit 200% on Kickstarter. To our new backer friends, thank you, you've got great taste. Maybe because you grew up on the correct 16-bit console.
Sega Genesis/MD. Superior sound chip. Superior everything. While SNES kids were out here pretending Mode 7 was a personality, we were blast processing.
200% means you believe in this as much as we do, and we appreciate you!
P.S. SNES backers are still welcome. We forgive you."
Now that James has cleared the air on the console wars, let's head straight into the latest campaign updates:
The word is spreading fast. Lethal Wedding was just featured in the E4 Shacknews Showcase! It is awesome to see major gaming outlets shining a spotlight on our blood-soaked 16-bit wedding project, and it is all thanks to the day-one noise you all made.
Check out the showcase below:
Want to start cracking clown skulls right now? The good news is you don't have to wait. The official Lethal Wedding ROM demo is live on our website! For our PC crew, don't worry cos the Steam demo is right around the corner and coming very soon.

We need to settle something important.
Lethal Wedding has always leaned into the campy, over-the-top horror comedy vibes that our playtesters love, and that includes our finishing move VFX. Right now, we have got circus smoke puffing out on knockouts like some kind of deranged clown funeral. We are torn between the blood and the comedy, and want to hear where our fans think we should lean on these finishing touches.
But we have been cooking up something... messier. We can swap that circus smoke for full-on blood splatter, proper Sega Genesis gore in all its 16-bit glory.
Here is where YOU come in. How should we handle it?
Option A: Default Bloody: Blood splatter on from the jump. No code needed. We go full blood and never look back. This is what we are leaning towards, but we want to hear from you!
Option B: Blood Code: Keep it clean by default, but reward the dedicated fans. Enter a secret code and unlock the carnage. Old school. Earned. Legendary.
Option C: Menu Toggle: Simple on/off switch in the options menu. Modern, accessible, everyone is happy...?
Drop your vote in the comments. We are always listening, and the winning option is going straight into the game based on what you all decide.
Thank you again for taking us past 200%. Let's keep this train rolling!
