Hey everyone!
We have huge news today: the Lethal Wedding demo is officially live on Steam!
Go play through it, test out your weapons, and make sure to hit the Wishlist button while you're there. Every wishlist boosts us in the Steam algorithm and helps get the game in front of more retro action fans.

For those who want to run the game on authentic 16-bit hardware, flash carts, or emulators, we have a dedicated build for you. Grab the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive ROM demo below and load it up on your setup:

⚠️Disclaimer: Both the Steam and Genesis ROM builds represent an active work in progress. We are still hard at work refining gameplay, performance, and art assets for the complete final release. See more details on the development below!
Following up on our callout last month, backer playtesting is officially underway!
Selected backers are already running early builds and participating in both asynchronous playtest surveys and live Google Meet sessions with our team. The direct feedback has been huge for dialing in combat pacing, enemy scaling, and overall balance. Thank you to everyone currently testing!
Outside of playtesting, here is what the team is building and tweaking behind the scenes:
We are refining boss fights across the board! We are tuning total HP pools, adding clearer attack telegraphing so boss moves are readable, and implementing high-impact death animations for when you take them down.
We are recoloring the Hedge Maze assets to give the entire stage a distinct autumn look. Working within Sega Genesis/Mega Drive hardware limits makes color management tough, but we are navigating the console's strict palette rules and tile mapping constraints to make the new aesthetic pop.
Along with the art pass, we are restructuring the Hedge Maze level design. We are fixing broken enemy spawn triggers, smoothing out abrupt difficulty spikes, and optimizing asset placement so the level stays fast and responsive within hardware memory limits.
Internal builds are going out regularly for testing. QA has been hunting down bugs as fast as they pop up, including fixing an issue where the balloon animal gun was not spawning in its designated drop zone.
Grab the demo on Steam, test out the ROM on your retro setups, and leave us your feedback in the comments!
