Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a small update regarding the release of The Aether Project.

The release date is moving back by one week, from October 2nd to October 9th, 2026.

We're very close to release, but I want to give myself a little more time for the final round of testing, polishing, and fixing the remaining issues I've found rather than rushing through them just to hit the current date.

I know the release date has already moved before, so I don't make this decision lightly. At this point, though, an additional week will give me the breathing room I need to make sure the launch build is in the state I want it to be.

Development is going well, and this isn't the result of any major problem or change in scope. It's simply a little more time to finish the final stretch properly.

The Aether Project will now release on October 9th, 2026.

I'm also working on an updated and more polished version of the existing demo, including new levels to play and improvements to the existing ones.

I'm also updating the Steam page with newer screenshots, information, and footage that better represent the current state of the game.

And while release is getting very close, it definitely won't be the end of development. I plan to support and expand The Aether Project for a long time after launch with new content, improvements, balancing, and fixes.

There are already new environments in development, including a Desert/Mine theme and an Ice biome, with more themes and locations planned beyond those as the game continues to grow.

I'll have more to share about all of that in the future.

Thank you for your patience and for following the development of the game. We're almost there.
