We’re thrilled to announce our new game called Probably Stolen, with a playtest available right now!
Probably Stolen is a cyberpunk pawnshop simulator set in a dystopian space station where you gotta trade, craft, flip goods, maybe smuggle a little on the side, and try not to piss off the wrong people. It’s up to you to decide how far you’re willing to go to stay afloat and earn enough cash to own the shop before rent gets out of hand.
Developed by Questing Goose Studio and published by tinyBuild, Probably Stolen initially began as a solo project by dev Bei Ning Pan, who has since been joined by a team of 4 artists and 3 audio developers.
Probably Stolen was built on top of a previous project originally called Space Looter, which was a turn-based sci-fi space station crawler. However, it has since been shelved until Bei Ning returned from a trip where he had an idea of turning it into a shopkeeping simulator. His biggest inspirations for Probably Stolen have been Space Station 13 and also a bit of Papers, Please.
In the past, Bei Ning worked as an intern at a Microsoft Xbox Game Studio (Coalition Studio), Ubisoft Montreal, and Eidos. His favorite games include The Witcher 3, Divinity Original Sin 2, and Space Station 13!
There are very few games like it and we can’t wait to hear what you think!
