Some polish, plus two features that have been overdue for a while.
The demo now ships with complete Simplified Chinese localisation. Every menu, every email, every Hy Help topic, every job board listing - now in 简体中文. The previously shipped languages (English, Deutsch, 日本語) are unchanged.
On a brand-new install the very first thing you see is a language picker - one button per shipping language, before the boot screen even fires. Pick once, and your choice persists in settings.json; the picker never reappears unless you wipe your save folder. Existing players are unaffected - your previously-selected language stays exactly where it was.
Twenty-four achievements have been wired up to the demo. From Hello, World! for your first dollar that wasn't a starting handout, to ROOT KIT for cracking every classified dossier - plus a couple hidden ones we are not going to spoil here. Every achievement ships localised in English, Deutsch, 日本語, and 简体中文 - your Steam client picks the right one automatically.
Because you keep them. Demo achievements stay on your Steam account permanently - even after the demo is uninstalled, even after the full game ships. Earn them now, brag forever.
