SeizeControl - App Themes · published · build 24014792
This update brings file properties into SeizeControl with a built-in Properties window, adds playlist file import/export and .scpl creation to the File Viewer, and polishes media browsing with multi-type gallery filters, better video fitting, and cleaner visualizer settings.
Right-clicking Properties now opens a Properties window built into SeizeControl instead of jumping straight to the native Windows dialog. For a single item, the General tab shows type, size, size on disk, folder location with one-click copy, and created, modified, and accessed dates. For files, it also shows Opens with information, including a Change button for choosing another default app.
For a single item, editable attributes can be changed directly from the window. Toggle Read-only, Hidden, Archive, and Allow content indexing, then apply the changes without leaving SeizeControl. Compressed and Encrypted are shown as read-only indicators when they apply.
For a single image, video, or audio file, the Details tab shows available media information. For a single file or folder, Security gives you a read-only view of the owner, the people and groups with access, and their Allow or Deny permissions. For a single file, Hashes can compute CRC32, MD5, SHA-1, and SHA-256 checksums with progress.
Multiple selection is supported on the General tab: select several items and Properties shows the combined item count, location summary, contents summary, and total size. A Windows properties button is still there when you need the native Windows property sheet.
The File Viewer now supports opening playlist files directly. When playlist files are opened in the File Viewer, their supported local entries load into the playlist queue. If you use the OS default app setting, playlist files continue to open with their default Windows app unless you choose Open in File Viewer.
Supported import formats include M3U, M3U8, PLS, WPL, XSPF, and SeizeControl Playlist (.scpl). Playlists can include audio, video, images, PDFs, text files, archives, and other File Viewer-supported items. Missing, unsupported, or remote/stream entries are skipped with a short toast.
Playback starts automatically when a playlist file opens. The source playlist filename is shown in the playlist view so you can tell where the queue came from.
You can save the current queue from the playlist view as a .scpl file. You can also create a new .scpl playlist from selected files in the folder view: right-click and choose Create Playlist....
The queue remains editable after it is built. Reorder items by dragging, remove and restore items, or right-click a row for options such as Play next and Move to top.
The File Viewer gallery strip can now be filtered by multiple file types at once. Pick any combination of Images, Video, Audio, and Docs instead of switching between one filter at a time.
Fixed video sizing in the File Viewer. Videos now stay fully visible and keep their aspect ratio as you resize the window, instead of getting cut off on shorter window heights.
Simplified File Viewer settings. Audio visualizer options now live in the audio player, with one cloud sync indicator on the Visualizer options flap instead of repeated controls in Settings.
