This update rebuilds File Viewer media playback with a full-featured player for both video and audio, shared by the Rich View. It adds subtitle import, a customizable audio visualizer with saveable presets, PDF zoom controls, gallery filters, and a range of Rich View and File Viewer polish.

New: Rebuilt File Viewer media player

Video playback in the File Viewer has been rebuilt as a full-featured player with timeline scrub previews, captions, speed and volume controls, picture-in-picture, fullscreen, and a settings menu. The Rich View uses the same player, and audio files now use it too in both the File Viewer and Rich View.

Captions include the option to import your own subtitle file (.vtt, .srt, .ssa, .ass) from the player's settings menu, so the captions button is always available when you have a subtitle to show.

New: Audio visualizer

Audio files now show a built-in visualizer above the player controls. It offers Bars, Radial, and Waveform types; solid color (your own pick or the app theme accent), spectrum, or audio-reactive coloring; adjustable bar count and gap (bar width adjusts automatically to fit); mono or stereo; and a Frequency focus (Full/Bass/Mid/Treble) that calms busy waveforms. Its options open in a panel below the player so you can see changes as you make them.

Visualizer presets are a single editable list of up to 9. The three built-in presets and your own can all be renamed, updated from the current settings, or deleted, and a Reset restores the three built-ins.

New: PDF zoom and gallery filters

PDFs in the File Viewer now have zoom controls, including fit to width, zoom in/out, and reset. Your zoom level is remembered per file while the tab is open.

The File Viewer gallery also gained folder navigation filters: All, Images, Video, Audio, and Docs.

Changes

  • Added a File Viewer section in Settings.

  • In-progress messages and attachments in the Rich View composer are now kept when switching tabs or folders.

  • Fixed entry drag-reorder spacing in the Rich View.

  • Rich View media controls (reorder, edit, delete) now stay usable on videos, including during playback.

  • Right-click menus for Rich View media now include Open, Open with, Reveal, and Open in File Viewer.

  • Right-click the Rich View background for folder actions such as refresh, properties, open with, open as root, and paste.

  • Quick access drawer: added New text document, new folders and documents can be named on creation, and the drawer no longer closes while you use its right-click menu (fixing the open/close flicker).

  • Fixed harmless "file not found" errors when removing files that were already deleted or previewing missing files.
