SeizeControl - App Themes · published · build 23888958
This update adds app language support with Steam language detection, a dedicated archive preview experience, curated Windows Shell Actions in right-click menus, and several File Explorer polish improvements for opening files, icons, settings, and menus.
SeizeControl now includes app language support with broader language coverage. When the app language is set to System, SeizeControl can also follow the Steam client language while Steam is connected, making the app feel more consistent with your Steam setup.
This includes Steam platform languages as well as many Steam game-supported languages, so more users can run SeizeControl in the language that best matches their system or Steam client.
Language settings:
Archives now have dedicated support in the SeizeControl File Viewer and File Explorer context menus. Supported formats include ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, TGZ, ISO, and CAB.
Double-clicking a supported archive opens a dedicated archive preview when Use OS default app is off. When that setting is on, archives open with your operating system's default app instead.
Archive previews include search, sortable Name, Size, and Modified columns, an inspect-only contents list, and the normal File Viewer gallery. Archive contents are read-only, but the archive file itself can still be renamed or deleted from File Viewer actions.
Archive actions now include Extract Here, Extract To..., Extract to parent folder, extracting selected entries or the current folder, testing archives, and creating new archives from selected files and folders.

SeizeControl now discovers relevant Windows context actions from installed apps and shows them as curated Shell Actions in file and folder right-click menus.
Shell Action labels are cleaned up for SeizeControl menus, including removing Windows shortcut markers such as & from action names. Actions without app-provided icons now use a distinct fallback icon so they are visually separate from built-in SeizeControl actions.
Long context menus also stay usable inside the app window, including after Open With or Shell Actions finish loading additional items.
Shell Actions:
Use OS default app is now available in File Explorer settings. This single setting controls whether supported files open with the OS default app and whether file icons match the OS default app. When it is off, files open in the SeizeControl File Viewer and use SeizeControl icons.
App Zoom has moved from Advanced settings to Appearance settings so display scaling is easier to find.
Audio and archive files now have dedicated file icons in SeizeControl's icon set.
Search results and file lists now use the same file-type icon behavior as the explorer grid.
Breadcrumb sibling-folder menus now use the app's custom scrollbar styling.
Various settings have been organized and reworded for clarity.
