KERF: Sawmill Tycoon is out now on Steam, and it is 29% off for the first week.
This is a first-person sawmill sim where nothing happens without you. Every tree is felled by your hand. Every plank comes off a saw you operate. Every coin is earned at a counter you built up from nothing. You start with an axe and a quiet clearing at the foot of a waterfall, and you turn it into a working timber business.
What you actually do
- Fell trees, cut the trunks into logs and haul them to the yard
- Work the machines yourself: bandsaw, chopping block, chipper, pelletizer and furniture workshop
- Turn six wood species into planks, firewood, wood chips, pellets, bark and made-to-order furniture
- Serve customers who walk into your yard with real orders: load a crate, carry it to the counter, close the deal
- Hire a crew, upgrade the sawmill and drive your pickup across a handcrafted valley
- Replant the forest, because it does not grow back on its own
Your chat walks into the game
Connect your Twitch or Kick channel and your viewers show up in the game as customers, with their nicknames over their heads and their chat messages in speech bubbles. If you stream, your community literally keeps your sawmill busy.

KERF is the first release from MGDB Studio, a one-person studio. Everything you see in the game exists because someone sat down and built it, one machine at a time. Getting it to this page took years, and today it is finally yours to play.
