Hello, community!

Even though there has not been a new dev log since our last update, we have been anything but idle. Thanks to your feedback, we have been able to fix numerous issues while also beginning work on our next major content update.

WonderWheel

Many of you have already guessed correctly: our next ride will be the WonderWheel!

Over the past few weeks, we have completed the model and spent a great deal of time refining its design and theming. Now we can finally show you the finished result.

Of course, we have also developed a dedicated control system for the WonderWheel. Its fully interactive and animated display is integrated directly into the ride and follows a realistic operating workflow, allowing you to run the WonderWheel like a real ride operator.

BeyondBeats Outpost

But that is far from everything.

Since release, we have hidden a number of small hints in advertisements around the fairground. Many of you spotted them and asked for exactly this feature, so we are especially excited to introduce the BeyondBeats Outpost.

The stage features two workstations.

The DJ on stage controls the music and can also operate the lighting and special effects.

On the opposite side is the LJ (Light Jockey) workstation. Once the DJ enables this position, the LJ can independently take full control of the lighting show and all effects.

To keep the area lively without permanently drawing guests away from other attractions, the stage can be opened and closed. Guests will gather in front of it only when the stage is actually open and active.

New Features

Alongside these major additions, the update will also introduce several smaller features.

One of them is the CO₂ cannon, a new effects device that will initially be available exclusively at the BeyondBeats stage.

Another popular community request is a flycam for the rides, which is now in development. It will let you experience your attractions from entirely new perspectives and showcase them more effectively.

We are also expanding the look of the fairground with:

•      two new designs for the beer stands

•      new standing tables to complement the existing tables and benches

Together, these additions will make the fairground feel more varied and lively.

Roadmap: What’s Next?

Our next step is the WonderWheel’s sound design. This includes the sounds of the drive systems, gondolas, and other mechanical components, helping the attraction feel as authentic as possible from an audio perspective as well.

After that, we will integrate the WonderWheel and the BeyondBeats stage into the map, followed by the implementation and testing of the staff and guest systems.

At the same time, we are creating the stage’s various lighting programs. These include new movement sequences for the moving heads and additional effects, all of which will then be integrated and thoroughly tested.

The entire update will, of course, be available free of charge to everyone who owns Fairground Online.

We cannot wait to show you our next steps. Thank you for your feedback and continued support!
