Mars is not just one big desert - It is a planet with seasons, weather and cataclysmic natural events that Earth would not survive, but you for sure can if you prepare well enough!
Seasons of Mars ☁️
You will experience all four seasons, each with their own changes and threats. Spring 🌸 will have more sunstorms and magnetic interference, Summer 🌻 comes with giant sandstorms capable of damaging your equipment, Fall 🍂 arrives with strong dust winds that will cover your solar panels, while Winter ❄️ will drain the energy of your base with huge temperature drops!
Each season will force you to adapt your strategy and prepare ahead of time. You could try to survive everything by reacting, but you will have much bigger chances of survival if you prepare for each season accordingly. Mars does not forgive !
Weather Events 🌩️
From sudden temperature drops to massive planet-wide sandstorms capable of blocking solar panels for weeks, Mars will constantly challenge your survival skills. Random events can strike at any moment, putting your preparation, resource management and base design to the ultimate test.
However you will have your tools to know and prepare ahead of the time thos challenges hit.
Weather Forecast 🌡️
Monitor detailed multi-day forecasts for temperature, radiation levels and incoming weather fronts to stay one step ahead of Mars itself. Your survival will often depend on how well you can predict dangerous conditions before they arrive.
Track incoming radiation spikes caused by solar activity, prepare your systems for freezing nighttime temperatures and identify massive storm fronts long before they reach your base. A well-prepared colony can shut down vulnerable systems, store enough power and secure valuable equipment before disaster strikes, while an unprepared one may lose critical infrastructure within hours.
