All eventsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

⚠️Please note: This update is on Steam beta branch “unstable” - Work-in-progress version and may be unstable in places.

In the run‑up to promoting the latest unstable update to the default version of TerraTech Legion, we want to improve the quality of the build by finding and fixing as many bugs as possible, as well as refining the overall game balance.

How to access the Unstable Branch

  1. Right‑click TerraTech Legion in your Steam Library and select Properties.

  2. Open the Betas tab.

  3. Select the Beta Participation dropdown.

  4. Choose “unstable – work‑in‑progress version”.

  5. Steam will update your game, and you’ll now be playing on the unstable branch.

How to send feedback and join the community

  • Join our Discord server and pick up the TerraTech Legion Unstable role via the #chat-role-assign! channel. This will give you access to the private unstable channel where you can share feedback and discuss spoilers.

Remember: Always back up your save files before switching to the unstable branch.

Hi prospectors,

1.0.7 unstable is here, and it’ll be unstable for longer than usual with improvements to Survival mode that we need your help to dial in. Survival mode was one of the last features we added to the game before launch and we always felt like it needed a bit of polish. So based on your feedback, we’ve made some scaling adjustments and implemented some more interesting waves. Give them a go, and let us know what you think about them – hopefully they’re more engaging, and give you a good challenge at the same time.

General

  • Updated Unreal to 5.7

Survive

  • Additional phases and planet spawns are back in, including some challenging waves around the 60 minute mark.

  • We have rebalanced the leveling progression around faster initial levels and faster ramping and fixed an issue where XP requirements were not scaling properly at higher levels.  More enemies equals more fun.

  • All the enemy drones (bash drone, crate carrier drone, and shooting drone) have lower health scaling, they shouldn't get crazy strong and instead stay fragile but dangerous.

Balance

  • Changed dangerous Lava and Acid damage from flat damage to maxHealth% damage and ignore armour, to be less punishing early and more dangerous in the late game.

Bugs

  • Fixed the issue where the Seismic Mine Launcher could sometimes damage your tech.

Over the next few unstables, we are going to follow up with some more changes to tackle some of your other concerns.

Coming Soon

  • Character balance

    • We want to give Mikela and Cepheid a buff to make them more viable options when compared to JP and Sam, without losing their identity.

  • Block drop balance

    • We want to tackle the feeling that the more blocks you unlock, the harder it is to focus your build.

  • I-Frames

    • We are reviewing our i-frame system to give a bit more time to respond to damage so that you don’t feel like you were hit twice in the blink of an eye.
