The first week has been intense. The Discord community has quadrupled in less than a week. Hundreds of bug reports, save files, balance suggestions, and feature requests. The game is better today than it was on September 3 — four hotfixes in one week, all built from your reports.
To the alpha testers, demo players, and new players who shaped this game from devlog to launch: thank you.
Hotfixes for the current build continue. If you hit a bug, the in-game report tool or the Discord are the fastest way to get it fixed. A save file is worth ten descriptions.
0.5.5 is built directly from your feedback. It focuses on making the game yours — and brings many more changes alongside the headlines below.
A new career creation screen where you set the rules before you start:
Every department can be set to one of three modes:
Set each department independently. Run sponsors on auto, R&D on manual, scouting on assisted — whatever fits your style. New players can auto everything and get to racing faster. Veterans keep full control. Switch any department at any time, mid-season, mid-weekend — it's never locked.
Watch a race without managing it. Pick any team, sit back, and watch the AI race the full weekend — practice, qualifying, race. Toggle it on or off whenever you want — spectate one weekend, manage the next.
Race strategy and career decisions for AI teams are being reworked. Tyre choices, pit timing, development priorities, and financial management are all getting a pass to make the grid feel more competitive and more believable across multiple seasons.
Continued polish on layout, readability, and responsiveness across all screens. The auto-fit system from 0.5.4-3 was a first step — 0.5.5 continues the work.
After 0.5.5, development shifts to 0.6.0 — Weather & Car Setup: dynamic weather, rain, drying lines, and a full rework of the car setup system. The first of the five headline updates promised in the roadmap.
The launch discount ends tomorrow. Every update after this — 0.5.5, 0.6.0, and everything through to 1.0 — is included in your purchase.
