We have released a major update for the demo currently available on Steam!
Ver. 0.7.0 introduces the new Primal Blessing system, along with numerous updates designed to make AKEGARASU more comfortable and rewarding to play again and again.
Primal Blessings grant you a new power whenever you begin an Underworld run, creating a different experience each time. We have also made major changes throughout the game, including a new tutorial stage, revised stage layouts, and overhauls of Flash Slash and Overdrive.
▼ Update Highlights
・Primal Blessings Added
At the start of an Underworld run, you can obtain one powerful Primal Blessing for free.
Some Primal Blessings strengthen Hayate’s abilities, while others can dramatically change how the game is played. The Blessing you choose will shape how you fight your way through the Underworld.
Gain a different power with every run and experience the Underworld anew each time.

・Tutorial Stage Added
A new tutorial stage teaches you the basic actions of AKEGARASU as you play.
・Story Voices Added
Hinata’s story voice lines will now play when you obtain a Sacred Bell.
Once unlocked, story voices can be replayed at any time from the menu.
▼ Major Changes
・Stages Divided into Shorter Sections
In response to feedback that stages were too long, we have divided them into shorter sections.
Each stage now takes less time to complete, making the game easier to enjoy during short play sessions.
・Added Language Support
Subtitles and the interface are now available in the following additional languages:
French / Spanish – Latin America / Portuguese – Brazil
・Flash Slash Overhauled
Flash Slash now awards different ratings depending on the timing of your input.
A well-timed input earns a higher rating, while pressing the wrong button will cause the Flash Slash to fail.
・Overdrive Overhauled
Overdrive, which sends Hayate into extreme acceleration, now includes a danger-evasion feature.
When an enemy or hazard approaches during Overdrive, time slows down, giving you a chance to react calmly.
Overdrive no longer recovers automatically over time. Instead, its gauge is charged by defeating enemies with Flash Slash.
Successfully performing a well-timed Flash Slash greatly increases the amount of Overdrive charge gained.
・Blessing Purchase Timing Changed
Blessings, previously purchased after clearing a stage, can now be purchased at the start of a stage.
This allows you to immediately try Hayate’s newly strengthened abilities.
・Unlock Abilities Is Now Easier to Access
After clearing a stage, you will always be able to access Unlock Abilities, the feature used to strengthen Hayate.
You can immediately spend your collected Soul Stones to develop his abilities.
