Gamepan 1.1.15
Text sizing in the note editor, a more flexible overlay hotkey, and some polish. Here is what changed.
New
- Text size control in the rich text editor (used by Notes, the Kanban cards, and more). Pick an exact pixel size for the text you have selected, or set it before you type so what you write next comes out at that size. The dropdown shows the current size, or "Mixed" when your selection spans more than one size.
- The overlay toggle hotkey can now be a single key, like G or F8, with no modifier needed. You are no longer limited to combos that use Ctrl, Alt, or Shift, so a dedicated one-key toggle works. Heads up: a single key is registered system-wide, so while Gamepan is running it toggles the overlay everywhere, not just in your game. You can change or reset it any time in Settings, or from the overlay's own settings.
- Map module: a new "Pin name labels" setting lets you show pin names always, instead of only when you hover a pin. Find it in Settings under Modules, Map.
- Map module: multiple maps in one module. Use the menu button in the top left to add, rename, switch between, and delete maps. Each map keeps its own image, pins, and categories, so you can keep several areas side by side without needing a separate module for each.
- Notes module: a new cog in the module header opens list view options. Turn the preview text under each note on or off, and use the slider to scale the note list text from 80 to 160 percent (with a Reset button). This is handy when a Notes module is squeezed next to another one and the text is hard to read. Each Notes module remembers its own setting.
- Notes module: a "Collapse notes" option in the same cog. When it is on, notes collapse to just their title (or the title plus preview snippet if preview text is on), and you click a note to expand its full content inline instead of opening a window. It is a nice way to fit more notes in a small module. Which notes are expanded is remembered per module, even after you switch tabs or restart.
- Automatic snapshots for version history. Gamepan can now take a snapshot on a timer while it is running, on top of the one taken at launch, so your work is protected between launches. Set it in Settings under Data, with a choice of off, or every 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. It defaults to every 5 minutes, and a snapshot is skipped whenever nothing has changed, so an idle app never piles up duplicates and only the newest 10 are kept.
Fixes and polish
- Changing the size of text that had more than one size now makes the whole selection that size, instead of leaving smaller runs untouched.
- Colored text keeps its color when you change its size.
- Clear formatting no longer removes text size. It still clears bold, italic, color, links, headings, and the rest.
- The note and Kanban editor toolbars are a single tidy row again, with the icons centered in their buttons.
- The Kanban card editor window is a bit wider so the toolbar has room.
- The Data tab in Settings has been reorganized into clear sections (Backups, Version history, Storage, and a Danger zone), each with a short description, instead of one long row of buttons.
- Setting a bigger text size with the cursor at the end of a line no longer leaves a large empty gap. The new size is applied to the next thing you type instead.
- Applying a heading now affects only the line you are on, instead of turning the whole note into a heading.
- Fixed the note editor becoming less responsive over time, and a stutter when pressing Enter behind styled text.
- Clear formatting now works reliably in the Kanban card editor.
- Kanban board cards now show your note's colors and bold, while very large text is kept to a card-friendly size (the full size still shows when you open the card).
- Notes module: reordering notes now auto-scrolls the list when you drag near the top or bottom, and a note you are dragging collapses to its title so long open notes no longer shove the list around. It expands again when you drop it.
- Map module: deleting the last map now leaves the module empty with an invite to add one, and "Delete this map" is greyed out when there are no maps.
- The overlay's settings cog is properly centered in its button.
