It is incredible to see people stepping into the workshop, taking on customer orders and building their own production flow.
And today, The Fabricator has taken a major step forward.
You are no longer limited to managing production from menus and standard machine controls.
With the new Hands-On Mode, you can step directly onto the workshop floor and physically operate the machines yourself.
The Band Saw and Drill Press now offer detailed interactive production where the parts, materials and mistakes are connected directly to your real workshop.
Choose real steel stock from your inventory, load it onto the machine and manufacture the parts yourself.
Set the physical cutting stop, move the material along the roller conveyor, clamp it and perform the cut.
You also need to deal with:
usable material remainders,
scrap and incorrect cuts,
saw blade wear,
coolant,
machine cleaning,
lubrication points,
breakdowns,
and customer deadlines.
As your business grows, you can purchase new automation systems including the Gantry Material Loader, Automatic Material Feeder and Automatic Finished Part Stacker.
You can start the job manually and gradually automate the physical work.
Parts coming from the Band Saw can now be physically drilled at the Drill Press.
Load the part onto the table, select individual holes from the technical drawing, install the correct drill bit, start the spindle, clamp the workpiece and drill each hole yourself.
The Drill Press also includes:
a physical drill-bit rack,
drill-bit wear,
drill-bit sharpening,
cleaning,
lubrication,
machine breakdowns,
and automatic loading and unloading upgrades.
A wrong drill diameter can scrap the real part and send it back through production.
Hands-On Mode is fully connected to the main production system.
The steel you cut comes from your real inventory.
The part you drill belongs to a real customer order.
Tool wear is real. Scrap is real. Deadlines keep moving. Machine condition matters.
And the part you manufacture continues through the same workshop production flow.
You can still hire workers and automate your workshop if you prefer management gameplay, or you can step onto the shop floor and operate the machines yourself.
Start manually. Learn the machines. Build your workshop. Then automate the work you once did by hand.
The result feels almost like a game inside the game, while still remaining part of the same production and business simulation.
Thank you again to everyone who has already supported The Fabricator.
And if you enjoy manufacturing, machinery, workshop management and production simulation, now is a great time to step into the workshop.
The Hands-On Update is available now.
🔧 Run the workshop. Operate the machines. Build the business.
