First of all, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has purchased, wishlisted, and supported The Fabricator so far.
As a small indie project, it is truly an honor to see people playing the game and showing interest in what we are building.
We want to make one thing clear: development of The Fabricator is continuing.
We plan to keep improving the game, adding new features, expanding the workshop experience, and making production more interactive over time.
And the next major step is already in development.
Until now, much of the gameplay has focused on setting up machines, managing production, moving parts through the workshop, and making sure every operation is completed correctly.
With the upcoming Hands-On Update, you will be able to get much more directly involved in the manufacturing process.
Instead of only configuring a machine and waiting for the operation to finish, you will be able to perform parts of the work yourself.
The first machines receiving Hands-On gameplay are:
The Band Saw Hands-On mode allows you to work with the material directly, position it on the machine, set up the cut, clamp the material, and complete the cutting operation yourself.
The Drill Press Hands-On mode takes the process even further.
You will be able to select the job, choose the correct drill diameter and quantity, move physical parts from the waiting pallet onto the drill table, select the required hole position from the drawing, clamp the part, and drill the holes one by one.
When the part is finished, you move it onto the completed pallet and continue with the next one.
This means production will no longer be only about managing machines — you will also be able to step onto the workshop floor and do the work yourself.
The Band Saw and Drill Press are only the beginning.
We plan to continue expanding the Hands-On system to more machines and workshop operations in future updates.
Our goal is to make The Fabricator a deeper and more interactive workshop experience while keeping the production management side of the game.
The Hands-On Update is planned for August 21.
Thank you again for supporting The Fabricator.
There is much more to come.
