This update fixes a large number of known issues.
Shares in the listed company you founded now appear in your holdings, and stay tradable even after you lose control of it. As the controlling shareholder of a listed company, you must first disclose to the market on the “IPO” tab under Capital Operations before trading your own shares. Trading without disclosure raises Disclosure Violation Suspicion; failing to follow a disclosed plan raises Manipulation Suspicion.
After you lose control of a company, you can find it under Market Manipulation and manipulate its stock there.
Reworked many layouts and components for a more consistent look. Unified wording across the game; nearly all in-game text has been reviewed by hand.
⚠️ The 0.1.8 update is currently uploading to Steam and will be available within the next few hours.
Meanwhile:
1. Contacts who have resources you can call on now carry a marker on their card.
2. Adjusted when some events appear.
3. Fixed a bug that could change how a save file is linked.
4. Added a hotkey for the Personal Terminal, and fixed a display bug after buying the Advanced Custom Terminal.
5. Extensive logic improvements were made throughout “Capital Operations.”
6. Standardized some wording.
7. The contact network can now be filtered by class. Pregnancy is now shown as a status.
8. You can now rename your company at any time.
9. More events carry their own illustration and leave a mark on the world.
10. The Back hotkey now remembers the sector you had selected in the Market Terminal.
11. A more convenient stock-trading interface. When you check “Margin” on a stock order, margin credit is now used before cash.
12. A better management interface for “Products & Life Cycles.”
Everything is moving toward a more complete, polished game as we push toward version 0.2.0. After this update, only routine recurring events remain without full manual review. In most situations, players in every supported language should no longer run into barriers to understanding.
I expect version 0.2.0 to launch in August—or by September 10 at the latest—with complete localization and macOS support. After that, we will move quickly to expand the company business lines. We have already designed many of them; chips and operating systems are the most likely to arrive first. Our plans for artificial general intelligence (AGI) will also include:
- Microexpression analysis: Let your own AI read opponents’ microexpressions in Texas Hold’em—and clean up at the table.
- Financial analysis: Make intelligence leads more credible.
- Market Manipulation: Push share prices in the direction you want.
- Automated quantitative trading: Put your money in the hands of your AI—if you trust your company’s technology enough.
- Cognitive intervention: Fine-tune a model’s cognition to steer the world; the more users it has, the greater its influence.
- Large-scale compute centers: Build them to improve multimodal and reasoning capabilities and strengthen your competitiveness in the market.
