This market is larger than the phone market and offers extremely high profit margins. Most of the competition unfolds before 2042. You will invest R&D Points and years of development, taking chip technology step by step to its limits.
Technical exploration has limits, but courage does not. As long as a chip has not been released, you can use the “Ascent Program” at any time to try to push your Chip Prototype even further. This demands vast amounts of R&D Points and carries the risk of destroying the prototype. The “Ascent Program” gives your chip unlimited room to grow—but it can also wipe out years of work.
Once you take the lead, you can sell your in-house chips externally for enormous profits, or reserve them for your own phones to gain a Phone Appeal advantage. When you publicly list your chips, you must allocate phone-factory capacity to meet demand. A phone built on an in-house chip uses double the phone factory capacity.
In the future, your in-house chips will also tie into your AI foundation-model company. Only a company with the most powerful compute-resource matrix may survive this cash-burning war.
This update also adds six unique specialists to the Chip Department. Hiring them will deliver major advantages over the long term.
About R&D Points: In the past, R&D Points produced by the R&D Department were not retained. Now, surplus R&D Points from company research projects will be banked in your R&D Points Reserve—the primary currency you will use in the Chip Department.
1. Fixed interface overlap or crowding on certain displays.
2. Added a Phone Design page that matches the visual style of the chip-design page. You no longer need to take product photos manually.
If you enjoy this update and can see how the game has improved, leaving a “Recommended” review on Steam is the greatest support you can give its growth:
• It helps more players discover the game.
• It gives me the energy and resources to keep building new features.
• It brings the game one step closer to becoming a great business simulation.
Best,
