Ahoy, pirates!

A major patch is live with the features you've been asking for. Read on!

Chapter progress

Your progress through the chapters is now saved properly. You can pick up from the last chapter you reached instead of starting over every time.

Return to lobby

You can now head back to the lobby straight from the game over screen. A short timer kicks in instead of a button, so you regroup without fighting the menu after a rough run.

Flashlight rework

The flashlight got a proper overhaul, tuned around what matters most: spotting loot. Wherever it sits, on the ground, in a corner, or deep inside a chest, you'll actually see it now.

Fog effect

The fog system got reworked, and it shows. The farther something is from you, the more it fades into the haze. The closer it gets, the sharper it pulls into focus.

Other new things

  • Y axis invert is finally in the settings (Settings → General → Invert Y Axis). The wait is over for everyone who's been asking.

  • Loading screens got a refresh: faster lobby loading, a new wheel animation, and a dedicated reconnect screen.

  • UI tips added for activating and deactivating the Magnet and Rupor.

  • Boarded-up closets are no longer off-limits. Pull on the planks hard enough and they come off, opening up whatever's inside.

  • The Mimic now reacts when you attack it.

Balance and level design

  • Screamer chance tuned, currently sits at 6%.

  • Rat and Pirate balance fixes.

Bug fixes

  • Reconnect cleanup: items stuck on the beach or palms, teleport problems, player lock, double events, and loading screen weirdness all out the door.

  • Monkey Screamer recovers properly after a reconnect.

  • First room shop teleport fixed.

  • Streamers room door no longer despawns.

  • A few interactable spawners behave themselves now.

  • Beach interactables spawn properly.

Plenty in here to chew on. Have at it.

Community11 Sep 2026Our Window is Broken. The Work Isn'tAhoy, pirates. We love making games. We know exactly how to make Last Pirates better, and we work on it every single day. But some days, things get in the way. This morning a strike landed right next to our office in Kyiv. The window of the room where part of our team works is broken, the whole team is still shaken, and one of our colleagues was hurt, her arm is bandaged now. Everyone is alive,…Major update10 Sep 2026MAJOR UPDATE: The Statues Are Awake, and the Head Crab Has Changed ShapeAhoy, pirates! A new enemy, a monster rebuilt from the ground up, new toys, achievements, and a very long list of changes. Not everything valuable wants to be picked up One of them is already sitting in your levels. It looks like treasure, holds perfectly still, and waits for someone greedy enough to crack it open. What climbs out will grab you and drag you off, and only a friend can pull you l…Community10 Sep 2026Last Pirates: Die Together is Now Steam Deck VerifiedAhoy, pirates! Which means you can now play on a train, on a plane, or on a deserted island if that is where life has taken you. Just download it first and keep an eye on that battery. That Verified badge means the game runs properly on Deck straight away. Controls are mapped and work as intended, the tex…
