Last Pirates: Die Together · published · build 25235566
A new enemy, a monster rebuilt from the ground up, new toys, achievements, and a very long list of changes.
One of them is already sitting in your levels. It looks like treasure, holds perfectly still, and waits for someone greedy enough to crack it open. What climbs out will grab you and drag you off, and only a friend can pull you loose.
The other one never pretends. It circles the room from above, picks its moment, and you only learn what it brought once it commits.
We tore it down and rebuilt it. New model, new look while it's clamped to your head, a dedicated animation for the leap, new sounds, a fresh screen vignette, and different loot when you finally get it off.
It's a jellyfish now. Plenty of you asked for an arachnophobia option, so we took the spider out entirely. Nothing crawly, nothing with legs at all. If that was the one thing keeping someone you know away from the game, it isn't anymore.
The boomerang hits on the way out and again on the way back. Catch it mid air if you're quick, and expect it to catch you if you're not. Three ways to throw it, none of them the safe option.
Wrap something fragile in the cover and it stops shattering the second you drop it.
When a room has gone badly wrong, the teleport crystal pulls you somewhere safer. Usually.
Locations alternate now: mansion, ship, castle. The ship turns up as your second level, the castle as your fourth.
Chapters got reshuffled too. The first four are a single level each, everything after that is two. And they all fit on one page in the select screen, so no more flipping through.
Each level brings its own set of enemies, so a new place means new company. Bosses are picked to match the level instead of pulled from one general pool. Store unlocks were reordered to line up with the new progression.
Steam achievements have landed. Some you'll trip over just by playing, others will want considerably more from you. Your profile has been looking empty.
Category icons on store cards, and cart upgrades moved into their own category
Weapons and tools now show a use counter
Text hints in the tutorial, a new layer of explanation on each step
The trampoline has a sound now
New main menu background
The parrot got a fresh look, with a new model and textures
The payout target per level scales more smoothly now, in line with the new location order
Expensive loot unlocks gradually. The valuable pieces no longer all show up at once, they arrive as you progress, and the swordfish finally has the right price
The slot machine refunds your bet in dice when you lose. One silver coin becomes a $1 die, gold becomes $3
Snake health dropped from 500 to 150
Large items are heavier, the violin is lighter, and plenty of items got new prices and sizes
Medium items stopped spawning on shelves, and the horseshoe and medallion lie flat on surfaces now
Loot inherits the rotation of the container it fell out of
Removed the water pistol from the store
On the ship, the cart is gone from day two onwards
The Cracken moved closer to the ship
Man in Shadows teleports now, and his elevator behaviour changed
Enemies no longer hit through obstacles
Items hooked onto the cart stay with it on clients instead of lagging behind
A flipped cart no longer knocks over players walking underneath it
A cart pushed into a downed player rolls around them, not through them
Coins stay inside the basket instead of punching through the shell and riding along outside the cart
Big palms work when you grab the first item off the cart
Throwing knives are no longer blocked by level collision
You no longer get locked in the throwing state forever
Players no longer get stuck after host migration
Getting knocked down again before you finish standing up no longer locks you in a sitting pose
Cleared a stray collider on the Mansion stairs that was blocking movement
The hand no longer twitches on elevators
Pressing into a wall no longer makes you jitter
The lantern no longer switches itself off after you come back from the store
Fixed the case where losing an item straight out of your hands left you unable to pick anything else up
Fixed clothing elements overlapping after a crouch
Fixed light flicker in the Mansion and volumetric light flicker on low settings
Fixed sun glare direction on ship levels
Fixed the frame drop when a lot of coins spawn at once
Fixed a broken skin texture
Added overflow limits on the boat
Added runtime localisation for hints
The camera no longer jams into your face on the skin and dance screens, and zoom works again
The game loads three to four times faster
One more thing before you go. We picked up Steam Deck Verified this week, so all of this now fits in your bag.
We read your feedback every single day, and the devs work through it. If you have an idea for making the game better, bring it to our Discord. That is where things actually get changed. Thanks for playing, genuinely!
