Hey everyone! We've been heads-down working on some big changes, and here's what's new:Tooltips & Tags
Hover over any item and you'll now see its name and a set of tags that hint at where it might belong. Think of them as gentle nudges — not rules, just ideas. We'll be expanding the tag set over time.Gamepad & Steam Deck Support
You can now play Neat with a controller. Steam Deck players, this one's for you.Quests Rethought
Quests no longer tell you exactly where to put something. You decide. The goal is still to tidy up — how you do it is up to you. Old quests have been updated to match this new philosophy.Skip Tutorial Option
For our most dedicated playtesters who've been with us since the beginning — you can now skip the tutorial. You've earned it.New Items
Fresh items added to the kitchen and konbini, including ice cream.A note on the shop and inventoryWe're removing them. They were fun to build and fun to play with, but right now we want to focus our energy on the parts of Neat that feel the most satisfying. The shop and inventory aren't gone forever — we just need to be honest about where our attention should be. Thanks for understanding. As always, leave feedback in the discussions. Every playtest helps.

The store opens in an hour, and if the manager sees it like this, Yuki is finished. Don't forget to drop you comments and feedback! DiscordIn-game event24 Apr 2026Neat Playtest Patch #1 — Doors 🚪Just a week ago we launched the playtest, and since then we’ve received tons of feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and just kind words — thank you, seriously. We’re pushing regular updates to improve the experience and address your feedback as fast as possible. Today’s update is all about Doors — easily the most discussed feature this week. So we went deep on fixing and improving them. If some…
