"We'll live in Dreamland night and day."
After slow and steady progress, VERISMO has surpassed 1,000 wishlists!
I was going to wait to make this post until June, which is the 2-ish year anniversary since I started working on VERISMO, but I figured this is a good enough excuse to celebrate early and share some updates.
By random chance, an old meme animation I made 3 years ago got picked up by the Youtube algorithm (you can find the youtube link on the main store page), and I seized the opportunity to shamelessly promote my game, of course!
I've been accumulating about 1-2 wishlists a day since I've been more focused development than marketing, but enough people have been discovering my game through that youtube video alone that I went from 950 to almost 1,100 wishlists in 48 hours! I am extremely grateful for all the new support and interest.
Here's the carnival entrance mostly cleaned up and ready to explore.
The sign seems to be missing something once atop it...
There is still a LOT to do, namely cutscene sprites and illustrations. But backgrounds for the full demo are about 90% done. Writing is close to polished, bugs getting fixed every day... Almost all the music is implemented and locked in. Whenever I play through the game to get a feel for pacing and engagement, I'm quite literally giddy with excitement. I think it's going to be a really special story but I'll ultimately let you be the judge of that.

The next update's gonna be a big one; see you in late summer.
