HEXCRAWL Early Access — Patch 0.10.11
This patch is about protecting your campaign and repairing your bags. Saving now keeps a few recent local copies of every campaign quietly in the background, and campaigns you start from here on are tagged so they can travel between your own PCs once Steam Cloud saves arrive (in a future update).
On the repair side, backpacks no longer go dead in shops when another bag is open, and typing a save name finally behaves like a text box. Cities also gain a Harnessmaster for Armor lessons.
Saves:
- Saving now keeps a few recent local copies of each campaign on your own PC, in the background. If a save ever goes wrong, Guide - Keys - Advanced explains how to put one back
- Groundwork for Steam Cloud saves: campaigns started from this update onward are tagged so they can safely travel between your PCs later. Campaigns already in progress keep working exactly as they do now and stay on the machine they were played on
Trainers & Guide:
- Cities list a Harnessmaster under TRAINERS (Arms) for paid Armor Mastery lessons. The Anvil Saint at forge sites still teaches Armor alongside Smithing
Fixes:
- Backpacks no longer go unusable in shops. Once another bag was open while you shopped - a quiver, reagent satchel, Portable Pit or Bottomless Bag - your backpack could refuse to open, both bags fought over one window, and dragging an item out just dragged the window around. It stayed broken in every shop for the rest of the session, even after buying a new backpack. Each bag now keeps its own window
- Typing in save names (and other text boxes) works properly: letters like W, A, S and D no longer jump your cursor out of the box, and the spacebar types a space instead of triggering a button. Press Enter to confirm a name. Controller players still get the on-screen keyboard
