Pose ‘n’ Shoot: Lux can now be photographed in preset poses, anywhere in the game. This replaces the old Photo Mode and can be accessed via a remappable key at Options > Controls > Key Bindings > Global > Pose ‘n’ Shoot
A new “Flex” loot type is now dropped by enemies. Each Flex loot drop unlocks a new pose in the Pose ‘n’ Shoot library. God knows why enemies are carrying these.
Added language support for Spanish (Latin America), Thai and Vietnamese
Changed Lux’s flashlight - it’s now a virtual light source that RHETT projects in front of her. This makes it much more stable and useful - it doesn’t flail around any more when Lux moves. The flashlight itself has also been removed so there’s less clutter on Lux herself.
Lux’s weapons can now be hidden when not in use (Options > Gameplay > Lux > Hide Weapons)
Lux can now go barefoot
Damage to Lux’s clothes is now persistent across sessions. She can always get a fresh set of clothes by visiting the Dressing Room.
Reduced memory requirements for all machines
Improved shadow performance on older GPUs if Medium quality preset is selected
There was a serious bug with controller support that I’d missed: it was completely broken when equipping clothes and style studio items. Fixed.
Fixed a bug that overlapped clothing when Tactical Underdress was equipped
Some of Lux’s shoes would disappear when she crouched. Fixed.
Lux was often getting stuck just running over debris and the severed limbs of dead enemies. Fixed.
Fixed mesh poke-through on the leather choker (in Dressing Room > Extras)
Fixed issues when Lux wears high boots with long pants
Animated graph no longer appears when RHETT speaks. This build moves the game to a new release of Unreal Engine (5.8), which has several performance fixes. However, it’s introduced a bug in the audio sampler, which causes the build to freeze if we use it for RHETT’s spectrum graph. I’ve disabled it temporarily and logged it with the Unreal dev team via their issue tracker:
Video playback is broken in Unreal 5.8. At the end of the Kijimi Hospice level, Dylan calls Lux via video, but that’s now rendering as a white square. I’m working on it!
