Welcome to the start of a series of interviews with Crossbridge Game Studios, the developers of Moomin: Midsummer Madness!

In this series we will be bringing you an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how they made the game so much fun.

ーーー

Vol.1: The childhood dreams that went into making a Moomin game

As part of the preparation for this interview, I talked to my colleague who created the original opportunity for the project, and I asked him why he wanted to make a Moomin game in the first place.

His answer was very simple.

"I just love the Moomins and it has been my dream to make a game about them since I was a kid".

In short, this game came from one passionate Moomin fan's love and dreams. :)

The Moomin stories are packed with high adventure and really lend themselves to being shared among friends.

Their tales are always thrilling, intriguing and can sometimes also be a bit scary (in the words of Moominpappa "just a little!"), but whatever happens, the Moomins always find their happy ending.

Of course, those kinds of stories also make for a great video game, letting the player team-up with all their favourite characters and experience wonderful adventures alongside them.

Our game strongly values the spirit of the original book, and we sincerely hope that it can allow fans to drift back to their childhoods, even if just for a while, bringing surprise and laughter and feeding the imagination together with those they hold dear.
