A summary of what's changed since the last patch notes.

  • Opponent hand animation. CPU and online opponents now hold their drawn tile slightly apart from the rest of their hand, so you can see at a glance whether they threw away what they just drew. When they discard something else, the gap opens where that tile actually sat and then slides closed a moment later.

  • Achieved and possible yaku at a glance. This one technically landed in 1.17.0 and I forgot to mention it. When you select a tile while in tenpai, the waits panel now lists the yaku your hand already has ("Achieved") and the ones still within reach ("Possible").

  • Native IME support for player names. The interim paste workaround from 1.16.0 is no longer needed: the player name field on desktop now supports your system’s native input method (IME) for Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and other non-Latin text. Inline composition and candidate selection windows now render directly beside the input field. Tested with JA; let me know if you run into any issues.

  • Discard to decline for tsumo. Drawing your winning tile now lets you simply discard to pass on tsumo, matching how every other prompt on your turn already behaves. Skip is still there if you prefer it.

  • Fixes and polish. This release also includes several edge-case ruleset fixes and performance improvements.

Thank you so much for playing Agari and for all of your feedback and suggestions!
